Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club

Course has a great layout, but the pace of play was to slow. A lot of players were hitting three balls off the box. And spent to much time looking for their balls. Other than that it is a good course.

Hard to overstate how hard this course has fallen. It used to be pretty decent, maybe even above average. Now it’s an absolute mess. Even municipal courses in the NYC area are in much better condition. You would think the grass hasn’t had any water in two months. Even the fairways have huge browned out patches. If you miss the fairway by a few yards, he probably won’t even be on grass. The greens were always a little weird in how they are structured, but they are also in bad shape. Good luck finding a level spot in the tee boxes, and there probably won’t be very much grass.

The course is part of a community and those people must be furious at what it’s become. Either the management company is doing a terrible job, or the local’s refuse to pay another dime to fix it. Either way, what a sad waste of potential. feel bad writing this because the people that work there are very nice, but I can’t see going back there anytime soon.

My only complaint, I don’t understand why they don’t improve the tee boxes. They are so uneven and soft that the tees just go directly into the ground like butter. I’m surprised that members do not complain to the point that they overhaul.

We played back 9 and it was nicely laid out and taken care of. It was a fun and challenging course to play. I recommend playing this course

Have played this course before and overall it’s not a bad experience. Course needs more maintenance since a lot of fairways have brown patches and too much crabgrass in areas. The tee boxes need major work. Not a level tee box to be found. This has been like this for years so not sure why it is not addressed. Also please fix your divots on the greens. Not that hard just a little course etiquette would be nice if you are a new player. I have always liked the layout and will play a few times a year. Could be a great course with some attention to details.

while the price of the round, including the cart, was fair for the course & its condition, not having any water available on any of the holes, was unexpected, especially when the name of the course included Country Club. Would have been nice for the pro shop to have told us!

Also, we were surprised to hear that the driving range was only opened to members -are you kidding me.

A few Greens are too close to the other hole, Tee Boxes and FORE is heard too often. The tee boxes are very uneven, ie: not flat and difficult to take a Proper stance. Overall the course is great.

Stonebridge is an excellent course with a great layout. The only reason I didn’t give in 5 stars is the tee boxes — they have regular wear and tear, but they are annoyingly uneven ground. It’s probably done to aid drainage but on a number of tee boxes there’s no even ground to be found. I’ll definitely play here again.

Waited on every box, no ranger to speed up pace of play. Tee boxes not in great shape
