Grey Hawk Golf Club

About
Grey Hawk Golf Club is a challenging but playable course that is a Cleveland area favorite. It brings resort-quality golf to a remote location in LaGrange that is seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The rolling landscape is the ideal terrain for links-style golf. The course demands accuracy with lightning fast greens surrounded by bunkers and be sure not to stray from the fairways or you'll almost definitely be left with an uneven lie. Unlike a typical links golf course, there are water hazards coming into play on several holes on this layout. The 11th hole features a tricky island green while the third hole has an equally challenging "island green" that is surrounded by sand. Grey Hawk Golf Club is a formidable but fair test with interesting and diverse hole designs.

Poor course conditions
Fairways needed, cut, rough needed cut, way too high. Sand traps were hard needed to be raked. Very disappointed expected much better conditions for a course asking top dollar to play.
Great Course!
Course was in great shape and the greens rolled true and fast even when wet. Will definitely be back!
Really nice...
Coarse was in really good condition. Layout is amazing with all the water. Greens are lightning fast.
Nice Surprise
Enjoyed Grey Hawk. Fast greens, interesting layout and great conditions
Excellent conditions and challenging greens
This is a great layout. I am not a huge fan of housing all throughout courses but this one is still such a nice layout. Bunkers, particularly the quality of sand likely needs work or investment. The course had some heavy rain at some point this week, but was fine. The biggest issue is pace, with all the groups in front of me playing their grey tees which had them all struggling, I don't understand it. I think courses should that are difficult like here should require proof of handicap or something before letting nonstop groups of 30 year old hacks spray balls all over on tees they shouldn't be on.
My review
Course was in good shape but most of the bunkers were very wet even muddy. Course is very fun but the lack of a ranger ruined our round had a threesome in front of us who were super slow and looking for balls on every hole I had had it by number 9. They left after 9 thank goodness. Course was very pricey compared to other of similar to better courses in the cleveland area.
Golf
Top 3 public course in Northeast Ohio in my opinion. Fun layout, challenging, unique style for the area. Course was in great condition. Houses do take away from it a bit, but not a huge deal. Greens definitely play firm, be prepared for that.
Grey hawk
I use to work here back in 2017, and the course was in pretty good shape and played great. This was my first trip back in a couple years and the corse played just as well if not better then I remember
Great Track “golf staff, eh”
I have played here a lot and enjoy the layout, condition and challenges course presents.
The staff inside take it to “a whole nother level” . They could not be more condescending and rude if they tried. They have always been this way and I expect nothing less until my most recent trip. Heavy thunder and rainfall washed us out on the end of the seventh hole so we packed up our soaking wet clubs and returned to the clubhouse. I asked for a rain check as I’m dripping all over the floor for 10 minutes or so as the man “with all the power “ continued to ignore me and chat on the phone not 1 phone but a personal cell also. Eventually asked for my ticket I explained it was still soaked on the cart probably. Then he found my name and said “take it up with golf now”. He said golf now doesn’t pay them. Paid for 18 got 7.
