About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Slow play is an epidemic! Course was outstanding!
Both times we have played this venue the course conditions were outstanding. This time the pace of play was very slow with the 3some in front spending an outrageous amount of time on the greens. This has become a problem lately at almost every course. Drinking on the course needs to stop!

Great track
Third time playing here and first time in windy conditions. Makes some holes play very long. Great layout through rolling farm land. Definitely room to miss but off the tee but some holes can leave you is some tricky spot if you’re not careful. Lots of bunkers and greens were smooth and very fast.

Slow
The pace of play was slow on some tee boxes we had 3 groups waiting! They had a Marshall who was worthless he did seem to want to ask the slow groups to sped up! Course needs to find an effective Marshall!

If you miss the fairway… you go for a hay ride!
This course was overall great but any miss of the fairway and the ball is gone. I’m sure they go and bail up the hay where they can but I lost a couple balls to piles of dry hay. The water on 10 or so was so pungent. The greens - great! Speed was great and a lot of challenge on several holes. Wasn’t impressed with the guy behind the counter. Wanted us in and out with ad little contact as possible.

Great Day
I love The Bridges I have been playing the course since the year it opened and it has definitely aged well. It’s a great course to get away from the typical house lined 18 holes and actually get some peace and quiet on the course.

First time at Bridges
I have not been out in a long while so i was rusty but this course made me enthused to play again. Although they had some maintenance on holes that made it path only, most of the course was in very good condition. Lots of driver opportunities on the tee boxes. We played the blues but the Gold and the Blacks definitely would make this course more challenging with a lot more carry off the tee. The par 5s were long and the some of the par 4s had some tight landing zones if you are wanting distance but there was ample opportunity to play safe and leave a long second shot. Houses are not much in play here and although the fairways were pretty big and in good condition, if you hit the rough, it was not far to tall grasses and buried balls. Stay in the fairways! Greens rolled true and consistent without much curve. Would like to play again when it was not 100 degrees.
