The Bridges Golf Club
About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Disappointing
I've enjoyed playing this course before, but this is no longer a $79 course. with bare tool boxes and rough fairways, something has gone downhill at the bridges. Ownership should acknowledge the conditions before allowing anyone else to pay this kind of money for a subpar product.
Bad Condition
Sadly the course is very bad condition. It usually is not so I’m sure there’s a very good reason why but it’s bad in some areas.
Freeze damage
I play Bridges a lot- the freeze damaged lots of fairways and many tee boxes. Greens were good. They need to re-sod many of tee boxes and some areas of fairways. It’s a great layout, & once they make repairs to freeze areas, it’ll be good again
Fairways were the worst I’ve seen!
I have played the Bridges many times and since moving to San Antonio couldn’t wait to come back and play the Bridges.
I have never seen worse fairways. I am not sure if they got some sort of disease or what, but probably 60% of the fairways were gone and replaced by dead grass or dirt. Not sure what happened but a great track was turned into having to move the ball to find some hitable grass.
Green were great. Staff was great! Just the fairways were in really bad shape. Too bad!!
Thanks for the review! As you know, the winter freeze has been hard on so many of us and it has proved especially difficult for golf courses throughout the state. Golf course maintenance can be tricky to understand, so we wanted to provide a couple resources for insight into the complications caused by this year's winter weather. Could be better
The course is covered in dead grass spot that the course claims are due to the February freeze. We have played a number of other courses in the north Dallas area that do not show any of these signs. If the grass is not up to PAR and you are asking golfers to adhere to cart path only rules, you should not charge full prices.
Amazing course!
Love this golf course very much. It is my favorite north of Dallas.
I had a 7:20 AM teatime on Friday and the only downfall was that the grounds crew will drive up on mowers and tractors while you were in the middle of your swing or on the Teebox and just drive right past you and not stop. Everyone of my foursome noticed this and it was very unfortunate and a bit disrespectful.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to delivering you excellent service again soon. The Bridges Golf Club thanks you!
Scott
The layout is good and the greens are in great shape but the fairways and tee boxes are awful at the moment.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We see you rated your experience 3-stars and are interested in what we can improve upon. We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback. Thank you for playing The Bridges Golf Club.

If only...
If only the grass was alive to enjoy this course. The layout is tricky and especially with the fairways so dead you cannot tell where they start and stop. The worst part, is you get punished for hitting great shots. Hit a 3 wood for my second shot on a par 5 and the grass is so dead it rolls an extra 50+ yds thru the green into the rough. Greens were in good shape. Will not return until the grass is back... at this point I don’t see that happening until July or August

Bridges Golf Disappointing
Online Course review was WRONG! Course is in the worst condition due to unknow causes. It will be this way for months.
I paid a lower rate thanks to the great Staff but still it was too much.
Hope they can get it back to the great condition it used to be. It looks like it will take years to fix.
Fairways and bunkers were like the worst Municipal course I have every played.

Great Course and in Great Shape for February
This track is not for the faint hearted. For you to score well, keep you wits about you on several holes. If you do, you can brag to your buddies how well you shot on a terrific course,
Good Luck!

No grass on the tee boxes, little to no grass in the fairways, greens were good. One golf cart died at the third hole. Very disappointed
Tale of two courses
Play out here at least 4 times a month. Great layout that prioritizes green conditions over all others. Bunkers have all recently went through so that was nice.
Other side is the fairways and tee boxes. Haven't seen a course get impacted this negatively from the freeze. Fairways are 40-50% gone, tee boxes closer to 80%.
Still a good value.

Great layout but bad conditions
That hard freeze we had did a number on the course. The grass just isn’t there. It will come back and it will be great in a couple months.

The fairways were terrible. They have let the course go down. Also, it was not packed, however the locals felt they could take their time and hit 2 or 3 off the tee box. No respect for the group behind them!

Great course
Fun but challenging course, greens are a lot of fun.

Course conditions
The course has a great layout and location. The course needs water, fertilizer, and to be aerated. Right now the course is just left to be bare. Not good for a lynx type course. No problem hitting at 400 yard drive with concrete hard fairways. Looking forward to the future at the bridges.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time such as some of the conditions! We are always looking for areas to improve. Thanks for playing The Bridges Golf Club.
