About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Bad Fairways Worse Service
I’ve been here several times and it’s one of my favorite places to play for the pace of play alone. However, this time the fairways are in very poor shape, not sure if they lost some of them with the freeze or what but they were not good. The unfortunate part was the gentleman behind the counter. He was extremely short and rude. I was disappointed in a course I usually thoroughly enjoy playing.

Always going to play here
The course conditions were not the highest due to the frost. Tee boxes and fairways on the front and a few on the back we’re damaged badly. I will say next year they will cover the tee boxes so the grass will survive the frost. The greens were rolling perfect. No driving in the fairways was understandable, however instead of just saying the range is closed and cart path only try explaining to the customer why, we would understand. Have a great time playing with complete strangers. Played the blue tees, love this course will always return from Japan and play first on each trip

Battlefield
The course is in AWFUL condition. Only the greens were in good shape. The tee boxes and fairways looked like a war zone. I doubt I will return to this course
Course needs work
This can be an extremely nice golf course and has been in the past but not today. The greens were awesome, however, the rest of the course was in horrible condition for the most part. We were told, on the course, that the winter freeze caused the problems, but we haven't noticed that much damage at other courses in the area. We would have liked a heads up about the condition of the course before we shelled out 81 bucks to play it. We would have still played it for 40 or maybe 50, but not for 81 dollars. They should have discounted the round due to the condition of it.
Challenging course will test your skills
This is my favorite course in north Dallas area. Great conditions and greens. Tough layout that makes you concentrate on every shot. High handicappers should play the White tees and bring extra balls. Once you get on the course you feel like you are on your own without houses and other golfers around. Expect breezy conditions most of the time.

Started out bad ended well
First, let me say I have played this course numerous times with my son and we love it. The course is still recovering from the winter freeze but still enjoyable. What I didn’t enjoy were the four adult males behind my teenage son and I, who consistently yelled get your “black _ _ _ “ off the course. My son was blatantly distraught and upset. As a military veteran on Memorial Day weekend it hurt me that my fellow Americans would exhibit this behavior, especially to a boy. We did meet some great individuals, who reside in the neighborhood, that let us play with them. Playing with these gentlemen truly changed a negative experience to a positive. They were great Americans. This game teaches you about adversity and the correct way to handle it. I will continue to go back because the people at the course and in the neighborhood are top notch.

Hard Winter Crushes Another Course
The greens were in excellent condition. Pace of play was fine. However, the sub freezing temperatures of mid February have wrecked havoc. A number of fairways are dead. Will need to be entirely re-sodded. Same for a number of the tee boxes. Great track, great staff, great layout. Just need to bring the fairways and some tee boxes back to life…

Disappointing
I've enjoyed playing this course before, but this is no longer a $79 course. with bare tool boxes and rough fairways, something has gone downhill at the bridges. Ownership should acknowledge the conditions before allowing anyone else to pay this kind of money for a subpar product.

Bad Condition
Sadly the course is very bad condition. It usually is not so I’m sure there’s a very good reason why but it’s bad in some areas.
Freeze damage
I play Bridges a lot- the freeze damaged lots of fairways and many tee boxes. Greens were good. They need to re-sod many of tee boxes and some areas of fairways. It’s a great layout, & once they make repairs to freeze areas, it’ll be good again
Fairways were the worst I’ve seen!
I have played the Bridges many times and since moving to San Antonio couldn’t wait to come back and play the Bridges.
I have never seen worse fairways. I am not sure if they got some sort of disease or what, but probably 60% of the fairways were gone and replaced by dead grass or dirt. Not sure what happened but a great track was turned into having to move the ball to find some hitable grass.
Green were great. Staff was great! Just the fairways were in really bad shape. Too bad!!

Could be better
The course is covered in dead grass spot that the course claims are due to the February freeze. We have played a number of other courses in the north Dallas area that do not show any of these signs. If the grass is not up to PAR and you are asking golfers to adhere to cart path only rules, you should not charge full prices.
Amazing course!
Love this golf course very much. It is my favorite north of Dallas.
I had a 7:20 AM teatime on Friday and the only downfall was that the grounds crew will drive up on mowers and tractors while you were in the middle of your swing or on the Teebox and just drive right past you and not stop. Everyone of my foursome noticed this and it was very unfortunate and a bit disrespectful.

If only...
If only the grass was alive to enjoy this course. The layout is tricky and especially with the fairways so dead you cannot tell where they start and stop. The worst part, is you get punished for hitting great shots. Hit a 3 wood for my second shot on a par 5 and the grass is so dead it rolls an extra 50+ yds thru the green into the rough. Greens were in good shape. Will not return until the grass is back... at this point I don’t see that happening until July or August
