About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Good for January
This is a fun course that will challenge most players. If you play on a windy day it’s even more challenging. The fairways were dry and hard as were the greens but it’s January and just like all north Texas courses it won’t be back to normal until late March or early April. The layout is great I would recommend it to anyone. BTW don’t try and drive the green on 6 it’s a suckers bet and don’t try and go over the water to the tree on 18 unless you are Tiger Brooks or Bryson. Just FYI

Another great day at The Bridges
Had a 2 Hour frost delay that morning, but the staff kept us informed as to when we would be teeing off. They did their best to get everyone out as quickly as possible once the frost melted. Considering it's January, the course was in fantastic shape. Regularly playthis course and will continue to do so.

why did golf now cost me more money?
I made two T times 3 in each group at $36.99 a pc. One player bought his grandson he only paid $32.00. If I am not getting some kind of discount why do I need golf now? And the $10.00 coupons are impossible to redeem. I probably have or had $150.00 of coupons or rewards whatever they are called. Real disappointed.and the course sucked doggone irons bounced off the hard pan ground.

Very challenging
Love the layout. Fairways are great. Greens are virtually perfect and very difficult to putt.
My suggestion: Move the tees up a little on #5 and make it a par 4. Move the tees back a bit on #9 and make it a par 5.

They are not concerned about covid19.
They assign a cart to share with strangers.

Slick greens
Slow pace of play for a Monday, but the greens were nice and slick.

Great course for the money
Course was fun to play and would recommend it to everyone to play. A few short holes for par 4’s and 5’s but the putting surface will make up for it once you are on the green.

Worth Playing
Really friendly staff and a bargain to play compared to any number of courses in the area North of Dallas. The layout is somewhat challenging, especially some of the par 3's and the 18th. Course knowledge definitely helps!
Conditions were somewhat mixed. The greens are probably some of the best I've played on in some time! They putt "true", run smooth and are fast. Due to a lot of undulation they can be very challenging.
The fairways, perhaps due mostly to the grass being dormant, are somewhat hard and not friendly to those who normally take substantial divots, favoring those who tend to "sweep" the ball.
The course is a "Links" style and is maintained and plays that way with plenty of roll in the fairways and one has the ability to run the ball up onto the greens.
Many fairway bunkers have the liners showing through but the greenside bunkers are well maintained.
I would definitely recommend playing this course and though the drive can be rather lengthy to get there for many it is well worth it. Can't wait to see what conditions are like starting next Spring.

Great layout, but tough from the tips
I have played this course about 5 times. It's an hour outside of Dallas. The layiut makes use of the topography very well. The front side is where you need to play well, because it's much easier than the back side. No matter the time of year I play at The Bridges, the last 6 holes seem to always be into a 15 mph wind. The course can play very long into the wind from the back tees. I frequently had to go up 2 clubs on approach shots. The course itself is always in good condition. Greens are fast, but run true. I wish it had a larger practice area (just a putting green) and the range isn't great, but that has to do with the land available. The course is surrounded by ranches, which means you may get your shot interrupted by cows! When I have been there, it's never been crowded. Normally, green fees on the weekend run over $70,
