About
Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club (formerly known as Sugar Cane Golf Club), as its name would imply, sprawls across western Palm Beach County's vast sugar cane fields. Opened in 1987, the golf course features mature landscaping and a classic design that is challenging but playable. Water hazards come into play several times throughout the course and there are also numerous strategically placed traps concentrated along the greensides. One of the best aspects of the golf course that makes it stand out from others in Palm Beach County is the peace and quiet offered by its secluded setting. Golfers are surrounded by wildlife including alligators and bald eagles rather than cars and homes. It is one of the county's best-kept secrets.

Great course, wonderful landscape
Challenging, lots of water-traps, get to know BIG ED!!!
...and if you are lucky see the sugarcane fields burning whilst
you sink your last putt!

wide open, fun, beautiful golf course
love the course. Im not one to rate the pro shop, but the course is by far, one of my new favorite courses. wide open fairways, very low rough, beautiful different holes, a very friendly golf course. greens were very nice, not the fastest, but very playable, like brand new carpet, awesome. well worth the 15 bucks in gas. tee times are low rates makes up the difference. playing again tommorrow.

Good layout, greens are fair at best, directly due to economy
and lack of play, lack of cash going into the coffer, leads to lack of maintenance. This is another course that is hanging on by the skin of it's teeth to stay open. I was one of only 6 cars in the lot, and probably 2 of them work there. #10 green was open but is totally gone, toast. Greens are small in places and excessive undulations, if the greens were cut to roll at 10 it would be almost unplayable. I drove all the way from Boynton to check it out, will never go back, the gas money was more than the greens fee!
Improving
Used to play there every week, then it got bad. They brought in a guy to improve the golf course and it's at least improving. I'd go back again.....
