Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club

About
Belle Glade Municipal Golf Club (formerly known as Sugar Cane Golf Club), as its name would imply, sprawls across western Palm Beach County's vast sugar cane fields. Opened in 1987, the golf course features mature landscaping and a classic design that is challenging but playable. Water hazards come into play several times throughout the course and there are also numerous strategically placed traps concentrated along the greensides. One of the best aspects of the golf course that makes it stand out from others in Palm Beach County is the peace and quiet offered by its secluded setting. Golfers are surrounded by wildlife including alligators and bald eagles rather than cars and homes. It is one of the county's best-kept secrets.

All good
All round good course. Hard fast undulating greens, fairway ok. Could use a few signage to help you get around the course love the local wildlife
Out of the city
My husband was very apprehensive when we arrived in Belle Glades, until we hit the first tee!
Has our first round, we couldn't really know where the next whole was, indications would be welcomed!
Really good shape
Greens were great. Fairways easier to hit off, not scalped.
Nice track for price
Nice track for beginner to intermediate level players. The front 9 is a little bit of a drive away feom the clubhouse so it is nearly a must to rude in a. cart if you plan to play 18. The front 9 need to be manicured, and watered but the back 9 is in pretty good shape. Surprisingly the greens roll true throughout allb18 holes. Overall, I would suggest this course if you're looking for somewhere different and off the beaten path.
Surprise
We played there for the first time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't expect to find such a beautiful golf course in such good condition there. Only the way to the first tee was not easy to find. We would love to come back.
great course of you can figure out where 1 is.
Overall the course was very entertaining but the signage at every hole location is very bad, starting with where number one is. We literally were shooting at the wrong green on several holes. Easily fixed by new signs.
Fun day
The day sunny, little breeze and almost no one on the course. Course conditions the grass seemed dried out, or at least cut too short especially around the greens. I would love to see thicker rough, and thicker grass within 25 ft of the green, with fringe.. the grass had fluff in patches, just seemed to be cut all the same could not tell rough from fairways. Many open areas so cross winds can be challenging. Because the course is out of the way, it’s a hidden gem with no a lot of golfers on the course at times unlike many popular courses.
Great Greens
Hard Course to target tee shots on or to get distance, but the greens are exceptoional for a course at this price. If you know the layout, this is a fun course.
Cane
Course surrounded by sugar cane fields
Hidden water in play on several holes. Only complaint is holes not clearly marked. It was easy to go the wrong way once cart paths crossed. Signage would fix this problem.
Great course for beginners.
Friendly staff (for the most part), Wide open fairways, and usually great pace of play.
P.S. that 18th hole is an extremely long par 4 that is very hard to birdie.
Love it out there.....
I always love my time when I go out to play Belle Glade. Just an overall great experience. I live in North Palm Beach County had to head out west to Belle Glade is very relaxing, the courses I was in good shape and the people out there are so friendly. Well worth the drive and look forward to my next Round
