Once you get past the difficult par 5 starring hole, this course is very friendly. Open, fun, fair, well conditioned with fast pace of play. One of the few courses in the area I could play with regularity and look forward to each round...

Twisted oaks is a nice golf course and can be challenging plus the scenery is very nice

A good day to get out in the open spaces and enjoy a very good course. This course is vastly improved over the last few years. It also seems to be getting considerably more play.

We have been seasonal members at Twisted Oaks Golf Club for 3 years, playing four times a week. The course is well maintained with a moderate degree of difficulty. Unlike many golf courses in Florida, Twisted has a very versatile course lay-out with a fair share of bunkers and waste traps, water, straight and dog-leg fairways and then there are those darn "Twisted Oaks" that seem to find their way into play not caring about your level of golf. We are visited almost daily by groups of wild turkeys, hawks that follow us from hole to hole and sometimes even perch on the tops of the green pins, egrets, herons, but one creature you won't encounter at "Twisted" is a "gator". Oh, and by the way, you must bring some old bread or crackers and stop on the way to the 15th hole to feed the turtles.They are so people oriented that if you remain still they will come and take the bread right from your hands Of course, the fish and ducks are always swimming by to see what's left over for them or to snatch it before the sssslllloooowwww turtles get it.

Each year in the fall, when we return to Florida from up north, we are always greeted with some new and enhanced feature on the course.

There is a great deal of pride expressed by the entire staff and they are all always ready, willing and able to assist in whatever way they can. It doesn't matter whether the staff is out mowing, racking bunkers, checking golfers in, serving in the snack bar, organizing the start of play, or just out there wishing you a great round of golf, you are always greeted with a friendly smile.

Twisted Oaks is one of he best maintained golf courses in Citrus County.

First time playing this course and was very satisfied with almost everything. For under $40 green fee including cart ithis course is a tremendous value for a Florida course in February. The tees fairways and greens were in very good shape. Cartpaths were pretty rugged in spots, but I would rather have the owners spending their money on course maintenance then replacing cart paths.

Layout has a variety of holes to keep things interesting.

Great track & layout. Seems someone is putting money into it and it will just continue to improve.

Played this course many times and have always enjoyed the layout and conditions.

The starters seem to think they have some type of power that lets them be rude and overbearing to the customer. We saw the tee open and the previous group had already advanced to the green on a par 5 hole. The starter instead of being at the first tee was back at the clubhouse for unknown reasons. We proceeded to the open tee and our first golfer hit a drive, then took a mulligan. I stepped to the tee and the starter roared up to the tee and commenced to read us the riot act for teeing off. He continued in a rude manner while wasting more time advancing a group ahead of us.

He was in the wrong place by not being at the tee and even worse very unprofessional in his accosting us as if we were children. I see no reason to have to put up with rude overbearing treatments for playing golf that I pay for.

Just for info I have worked at many different golf courses myself as a ranger, starter and in the pro shop

I would never treat customers in this manner.

This course is a must for the avid golfer. Layout is tremendous and conditions are very very good. Greens are good and offer their own set of challenges. Fairways and bunkers are excellent. It was a haul for me to get there from where I live but it was recommended to me and was glad to find out that it was as described. Play the course and you will be impressed.

The course layout is it's best feature. Every hole is unique and picturesque. Wide fairways that keep you in play. Pace of play has been excellent. A few too many elevated greens; probably two thirds..
