Executive at Boca Raton Municipal Golf Course
About
Boca Raton Municipal Golf Course is home to an 18-hole Championship Course as well as a nine-hole Executive Course. Both courses were designed by Charles Ankrom across a gently rolling landscape of mature trees and winding lakes. The Executive Course provides great practice before the Championship Course but it is also a great place for beginners to learn the game since it is player-friendly enough to appeal to all ages and skill levels. For more advanced players it provides a quick, enjoyable round that can be played in less than 90 minutes. The layout is a mix of par 3s and par 4s with no par 5s. There are a few strategically placed bunkers but overall the golf course is geared more towards a less experienced player. In addition to the two courses, Boca Raton also offers a driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Fast pace
Starter got us off fast a men’s tournament was in front of us so he let us off the back 9 first we finished in 3 1/2 hours
Greens were great fairways good.
Course being sold. Poor condition
Have played here 3x in last 5 months. The young guy who takes clubs and loads the cart has a lousy attitude. He knocked over my drink because he literally threw the bag on the cart. Never even apologized. I wanted to knock him down. The guys inside pro shop and the starter were very friendly. It looks like it's being sold to major developer...all 270 acres. What was always a really nice muni course is now run down from tee boxes to greens. Save your money.
Best grens this year
I play around and usually do not stick to one course, keeping that in mind, The greens are perfect and fast. I have not seen a lot of greens around lately that are A) the same color uniformly B) absent of weeds and C) free of sand and divots. The course layout is not very difficult until you are dancing on those slick greens. The beer cart passed by often enough and the snack bar visit was quick enough to get back to play. The staff everywhere has always treated me well as I treat them the same. Overall, I would recommend this course as a staple in your course roster.
Prefect birthday round
I love this course brought a friend for my birthday to play 18 it was quiet due to rain chancesthe course is in amazing shape greens smooth true and not to fast or slow
The fairways clean and cut and green
Tee boxes a bit beat up but over all great course great folks
Best value in Palm Beach county
Nice course but not great
This was an excellent cost value. I played a round for less than 25 bucks. The course was in fair shape, but the pace was extremely slow and I had to pay for my wife to ride along. I've played several courses and never had to pay for a rider. That would have been nice to know in advance. I played Orange County national last year which is a premier golf course and they did not make such a requirement. Pace of play was slow also because of random foursomes showing up.
Best of all this summer.
The course was in great shape, and the greens are true and fast. Very well kept! Of all the courses I've played this summer, this was the best.
Pleasantly surprised
Enjoyed the round. The course was in nice shape and the layout and design were good as well. Good value as well. Paid $30 for a weekend round. Would play this course over some of the other higher priced "resort" courses.
Second best public in Boca
Play this Boca Raton gem, before its too late. Other than Osprey Pointe this is the public course to play in south Palm Beach County.
Local government politicos should be ashamed. To discard this public course for more houses/condos smells of malfeasance. This is a matter of the public greater good vs. greed.
Take a page out of Baltimore's public golf book. Twenty some plus years ago they setup a public golf corporation that turned ragged courses into "quality of life" courses; not housing tracks.
Nice course . Greens and fairways in good shape. Have played here before and will play again.
Great value
Hope they don't sell out. Great place and great value
Bogus Players Assistant
Conditions are good with this course, its a shame the property is at the center of an outrageous bid war for the land. The problem is with the management. Pace of play was unacceptable on a Saturday afternoon. Showed up with a half full parking lot so expected to finish 18 holes starting at 3:30 and finishing by 7:30. Foursum in front of us and 2, twosums behind us. Multiple times we were telling the ranger to make the group in front move along or even split and he was either deaf or ignored us. He was usually always around because there was probably 4 groups on the whole course and we were all on 2 holes the whole back nine. He was observing everything that was happening but wasn't doing anything about it. I hope for the sake of this persons ethics that the ranger job is a volunteer position, or he's just completely untrained on how to perform his job duties. Once we got to the 18th tee, he closed the course due to the sign on his cart that said course closes at 7:40 and I guess a pre-determined time which they want the carts returned. He would not let us play down the 18th even after pleading with him. Meanwhile, still plenty of light left to play. He didn't do his job while his customers were trying to finish a round behind a slow foursum and encouraging him to move play along. But when it was time for him to clock out, he had no problem closing the course. Even the manager looking guy at the club house wouldnt let us walk back and walk the last hole so we could at least record a score. I get they want the carts back, but even the manager couldnt do the right thing. Two people with no concept of customer satisfaction or hospitality. So salty about it which means I wont be back before it gets sold, unless I buy it and turn it into Palm Beach Nationals sister course. I wish I had more money so I could literally buy this course and snatch it from Lennar or Toll Brothers or whoever is trying to buy it and hire Paradigm to manage it and I could save a great track in prime time Boca.... Shame. Golf investors take note.
Good Value
Although this course can be crowded is a great value. For a municipal course it is in great condition and has been fun each time I've played it. The greens were rolling well and the fairways/tee boxes were all in good condition. Looking forward to returning.
Enjoyable round on an old style course (no tricks , each hole is right in front of you !) . Good condition for the amount of play , friendly staff .
Boca Municipal
Typical Muni course.Up & Down mostly. Course was in decent shape, but $58 was a little pricey for it.
