I do love all the ducks. I just feel bad bc this course attract a lot of beginners, and I have literally seen a player whack a ball straight at one of the ducks who I definitely don’t they made it to see another day Photo submitted by Chupapi7 on 03/20/2023

The course is not worth the money
Our cart went dead on the fourth hole. Called the pro shop several times.
They kept saying they will send another one out BUT NOOOOO!
We pushed the cart all the way back.
Pace of play was very slow.
Not enough staff at the course.
Greens were very slow and bumpy.
Nice price
I’d rather play at Casta Del Sol then spend $12 at the range! The greens were really nice. The facilities are adequate. No driving range for warmup but otherwise the practice green was nice.
On the course, the par 3’s were great target practice. On par 4’s and around the greens, hitting off of crabgrass was annoying. It was difficult to chip off the green on crabgrass.
Otherwise, everything was in good condition. Pace was slow, but that’s probably due to price and older clientele.
Always fun
For what you pay, the course is awesome! The greens are much nicer than I expected, and for an executive course, the layout is very fun. Pace of play is always an issue here, but I think it is because it’s a great value. Can’t go wrong with casta in my opinion, but don’t expect a quick round.
Great Short Course of moly Par 3s
This course has very nice greens and great for practicing your irons and sometimes a couple of drivers. The up and down slopes are fun. We had a great time there.
3 1/2 Hour Round on a Weekend!
The pace of play along with player skills in front and behind kept the round to under 4 hours. It was an awesome day with allot of pars and birdie due to lack the usual waiting around behind slow players.
Cool Windy but Playable
It was cool and windy but the course was in pretty good shape, greens were fast, speed of play was OK
Fix your carts CASTA
First of all: If your in a hurry, please go elsewhere. For one, I'm never in a hurry, golf is a game of precision not speed. Second, I do not drive 300 yards, if you do, please go elsewhere, its no fun having a ball drop at your feet without warning. Now! Casta unfortunately currently has 14 carts out of service due to needed repairs and I was told management does not intend to repair or replace. Hmmm... I'm not about to walk 18 holes and if I'm going to be held accountable to a tee time, I'd expect the course to be prepared with a cart. To that point, if the speed golf players are ready they tend to be less patient and VOCAL about getting a cart. Had one such speed junky insist he was next when my group had been waiting 20 minutes, he wasn't happy with that response so he grabbed my cart key and took off to get his own cart from somewhere...or soemone... not sure. That was cute! Fortunately the Course Ambassador had a spare key and off we went. Unfortunate for us speedy was behind us and responsible for said plunk at my feet mentioned earlier. I will likely return to Casta, course is perfect for my pace and experience level, but lately things have slowed from my average. 3-31/2 hrs. to almost 5. Again, I'm not a speed junky so don't care, but slow pace does turn some normal folks into a-holes. Again, if your a golf God or speed junky please go elsewhere, Orange County has about 200 golf courses
Don’t Play Here
3 hours for 9 holes on a course that is 3,600 yards for 18 holes. At one point was backed up 4 groups on a par 3, course Marshall did nothing to move pace, caught him sitting behind a fence playing on his phone. Left after hole nine and asked for a 9 hole voucher cause it was ridiculous, guy told me it was above his pay grade...would give it zero stars if I could.
Fun coursw
Perfect course for us older guys who don’t have a long game. First time playing and had a great time
Short
Extremely short course, more of a par 3 course. Spend the extra money and play a real course with par 4/5.
Over Booked
They had a tournament and over booked. They are allowing kids on the course that have never played golf. Totally going down hill.
Pace of play killed the day
Yes, you get what you pay for. Not complaining, just creating awareness for other golfers and hopefully management reads this:
Had we had known a junior event locked up the course for the afternoon, we probably wouldnt have played. We arrive 10 minutes early for our 5:00pm tee time and had to wait 20 minutes for one golf cart oand become available, due to the kids event. Their marshals and parents had many extra carts. Golfers were sitting in the parking lot in their carts just talking, but didn’t turn in their carts. Some groups on the course had 3 to 4 carts. There was no one monitoring or helping with the cart situation.
Restaurant and bar were shut down at 4:50pm with at least 150-250 people on the property. And don’t expect this course to have a bev cart.
By the 3rd hole (and on) there were an average of 4 groups on each hole. No marshals. Barely got 9 holes in within 3 hours.
Otherwise, conditions were decent due to recent rains. Greens rolled very well. Conditions were worth the discounted afternoon rate.
Forgiving short course
Cute little executive par-4 but no ladies yardage on scorecard
