I do love all the ducks. I just feel bad bc this course attract a lot of beginners, and I have literally seen a player whack a ball straight at one of the ducks who I definitely don’t they made it to see another day Photo submitted by Chupapi7 on 03/20/2023

very slow pace
Tee time at 1pm, slow play, disappointing. Marshall didn’t do a thing!!!
Players need to know when to pick up their ball and move on to next hole. I wish all golfers should take golf
Course etiquette before they even consider playing
Oso Country Club
Great course, most of the staff is friendly. Watch out though, there’s a rude sales associate selling Hot Dogs at the turn. Attitude shows he doesn’t give a crap about his job. Just a kid with no customer service. Too bad.
Best executive course for challenging layouts and advanced greens
Played here a few times. The greens are challenging even though they are easy to hit due to overall size. Grass quality and turf evenness is excellent. Some holes have a narrow fairway entry due to homes and trees on the sides but completely workable with a straight drive. Some water features that push skill level. Excellent restaurant. This course is my favorite executive in OC with plenty of challenges.
Slow day
Not sure why but this day was super slow. We had to wait at every hole. We were watching the group in front of us tee off at every hole . Some times the group in front of us had to wait quite a long time before hitting. Gave up on the 11th. Hole. Ridiculous !
Terrible course condition
We played on the day they began aerating the greens. Of course that information was not conveyed prior to booking the tee time. There were 2 temporary greens that you found not putt. Other than that, the fairways were also not in good condition. Bare dirt areas, weeds, tons of duck/geese poop. We were very disappointed and will not return for $100.00 for the two of us with a cart. The sad part is that it is an interesting layout and certainly not easy considering it is an executive golf course.
More Than An Executive
I live on an Executive golf course. This course is one step above. Plenty of spots to use a driver if you're 75 years old like me. Very challenging. Great bar, restaurant, and other amenities. I'll play here again.
