Gold/Red at Westchester Golf & Country Club
About
Westchester Golf & Country Club boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nines: the Blue, Gold, and Red. The courses, which are all designed by Karl Litten, are played in three different 18-hole combinations. All of the golf courses have a different character and challenges but they all share the warm ocean breezes wafting from the nearby Atlantic and a lush landscape of vegetation that is unique to southern Florida. The Golf/Red combination is a challenging but playable layout. It is a traditional Florida layout with water hazards coming into play frequently as well as strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the three golf courses, Westchester Golf & Country Club also offers an 18-hole par 3 that is great for practice or just a quick round.

STREETS BACK AT CONDO 90 MINUTES LATER Photo submitted by deaneo on 02/06/2014
First time...not the last
The course was great. Lots of challenging holes and in good condition. The outside staff were not friendly and often rude. The pro shop staff was very nice and welcoming.
We had a problem with the pace of play on our first 9 but the ranger noticed the problem and corrected it. After that, we never waited again.
The holes were well thought out and were challenging with lots of water hazards. Enjoyed our round and will play again.
I would give this course 3.5 stars. The greens were good and the fairways were shaggy. People were not very friendly.
Desk staff and restaurant staff very nice
Teamed with an older woman without a clue- trying to teach her grandson on the course- said "it's his first time, but he hits it 340" I thought she meant distance- she was referring to score- cart staff mostly nice, but one jerk with rude tude made sure we knew he was in charge- yelled about not checking with him- starters wanting tips or make you wait as long as they possible can. Rangers do nothing- confession staff very nice - desk staff professional- rest of staff should act like they are in the hospitality venue- like they act at west palm beach national- they are all nice at WPNational.
Decent value..
Very acceptable course for the price. 4 hrs on a Friday afternoon in high season for $61, played with another 2some..
It was a nice afternoon!
Nice course
Play here several times a year. The course is in excellent condition, greens are fine. The price is fair considering the time of year. I started playing here in 1997 and the course is always well maintained. The weather was perfect and we all had a good time.
Lovely course
Welll maintained. Pace of play was average. Very much enjoyed it.
Over book
When we arrived we were suppose to be with another twosomes.
There was no cart available anymore so we end up leaving with 25 minutes delayed
There was already 4 people's who hade the same time as us...
So we end up to be 2 between foursome.
Pace of the game was terrible with no marshal managing the time correctly
Course was beautiful and nice challenge.
crowded
1:07 tee time went off at 1:30.
multiple groups on every tee box
almost 3 hours to play 9 holes
no chance of playing 18 before dark
left after 9 would never go back
Course was I good condition. Pace of play excellent. Played with a very nice couple. Don't understand why there were so few women's tee boxes.
Tight and makes you think..
First trip on a boys trip. My first impression of the first tee was, "how far is that?".. This I would say is not a course for average to below average golfers, but it is a really fun course none the less. Its a course that makes you think about every shot, use every club in the bag. I am a 9 handicap with a straight drive, but I found myself questioning club selection at every tee. Often times, pulling out a wood or hybrid off the tee is the right play..
Course has a lot of water, lots of dog legs, and large and undulating greens. Greens ran fast i thought, but it was our first golf in months (still managed a decent score). A few really beautiful holes with forced carry over water.. all in all, it is easy to see why this course is 95% reccomended. We would all gladly go back and play it anytime

I played the blue and gold courses. They were in good shape - it was crowded but moved along fairly well .
