Gold/Red at Westchester Golf & Country Club

Enjoyed the entire day from driving into the facility to leaving. The greens were excellent and true allowing for few surprises. Almost every hole had water and occasionally intimidating. Bring extra balls! Slope was accurate vs. other courses I played.

Friendly staff throughout. Nice challanging layout. You see what you will get in front of you. Lot of water so beware. Overall course condition was o.k. Slower greens than most courses.

I'm from NY and was visiting family during the first week of January in Boynton Beach and had a delightful round of golf at the Westchester country club. The morning started off a bit rainy but by the afternoon it was clear. I actually play by myself - which I prefer -and played the red course and then the golf course. There's a lot of water and pour five so you need to lay up with a good T shot so distance control is key. I rented clubs for $25 which is pretty reasonable for a Nike vapor set. I would've preferred a better putter but actually I putted pretty well with the rental club. Bring extra balls because there is a lot of water and out of bounds on the left for many holes. The course was in decent shape - while it was a little sandy on some of the greens - overall it was pretty good and I enjoyed my 2 9-hole rounds there. What can be better than playing golf on January 4 in Florida!

Played the Blue and Red courses (in that order) and had an enjoyable and very fast round of golf; Played 18 holes in about 2:15 minutes! Although very much a typical Florida course winding through a never ending array of patio homes, there were some very interesting doglegs and water/sand hazards that held your attention. The red course fairways seemed to be in better condition but the greens and traps on both courses were well maintained. All and all a nice experience. Really enjoyed the "target" golf layout on some of the shorter holes.

The weather was perfect. Checkin was fast and friendly. Carts are brand new. Course was in great shape. Sunny and 72 degrees. Played with a great friend. What could be better?

Play here often; always like going to courses that have 27 holes. Played for first time yesterday "in season"; and as with many public or semi private courses many fellow golfers don't know golf etiquitte; don't fill in divots, don't fix ball marks etc. With increased play greens were scuffed up due to golfers dragging their feet. Still highly recommend.

The course is in good shape and the pace of play just right although we have had problems in the past on this issue. The staff who handle the golf bags do a great job and with happy faces. The Pro Shop staff on the other hand are the opposite. Not a smile,, not a greeting. Just businesslike. Why not welcome a golfer as if he or she is a valued guest and encourage the golfer to come back again. I have experienced this attitude every time I have played at Westchester.

Except for the fact that a twosome cut in front of us at the turn it was a good experience.

almost all the greens were heavily sanded and it was impossible to judge your speed and get a true roll to the hole.

previously i have always enjoyed playing here but i will not return until it rains heavily and the sand has a chance to settle in

there should have been a note on the website regarding conditions and the price should have been considerably less
