Palmer Gold Coast

This course is spectacular and it’s tight greens, bunkers and bush or water lined fairways demand accuracy. Yes, the course is a bit tired and would be amazing with some more time and money invested in it, but don’t let that put you off. Strangely, the course was empty at the time of our 7am Saturday tee off, but that just made for a very enjoyable round and pace of play. Bonus points for the wildlife we saw during the round, including turtles, frogs and lizards!

For $100 you’d expect a lot better course, greens had big dead patches and the bunkers were full of rocks.

Needs a lot of love, I played here awhile ago and it was heaps better I won’t be playing here again

I know there is a mixed review of this course but my experience was overall quite nice.

Course is finally coming back to the way it use to be greens are quick and in great condition and the fairways are lush , bunkers are 90% fixed so overall course was the best I’ve seen it in years

The course has been seriously affected by recent rain and has large areas out of play.

Works seem to be underway to remedy this but given 6-7 greens are unplayable due to turf disease I would expect the green fees to be reduced until they are fixed.

Much better options around for the price.

Disappointed with course condition. Greens have some issues, looks like they won't be in decent condition anytime soon. 5 of them are pretty close to unplayable (there is "2 putt local rule" advertised in the golf shop for these greens which means you pick up your ball and just assume you had 2 putts - that should give you an idea). The rest of the course I would rate a bit below average (waterlogged areas, ground dug up, lots of GUR, bunkers not well kept). Some of this is understandable with the recent weather, but it's certainly not the course it used to be which is a shame.

Pace of play was extremely slow, 3.5 hours for the front 9 and 3 hours on the back 9. Tried to get the staff to assist, basically got told to shut up and they want nothing to do with it. Not even offered a discount or refund. Very overpriced, and the state of the course is rubbish. I remember why it had been 3 years since I played there and it will be at least another 5 years if I go back. Overall I would highly recommend that people don't play here

Went online to GOLFNOW, got a tee time…. Though they didn’t offer carts online. I get there and everyone but me is riding a kart.

When I arrived I asked about the course and what kinda of condition it’s in. They seemed like they didn’t care, just told me the course is a little wet but that was about it. The tee boxes were garbage. The greens were even WORSE! Patches of “no grass” all on the greens and around the pin. These guys TOLD ME SPECIFICALLY that the driving range was closed bc it was too wet… I was like “cool cool, no problem”, however when I go by the range just to check it out, there were a group of people smashing balls!!! So IMO, this is a really crappy go of course and I will never come back to it!! (EVER!!)

The Greens on holes 1-7 where being repaired around the outside, but we werent told and there was no discount. Menu was limited, but the food was very good. Staff where very friendly, but the Amenities are very out of date.

Played there today greens where getting renovated but the fairways where in excellent shape.It had a Bali feel to it like your where playing in the jungle can’t wait to play there again once the greens are completed.
