Very slow
Played here on Sunday. I must have been unfortunate as a group of 16 tee’d off just before me. Which took forever as they were all taking their time. (10 min wait times on tee)
I eventually played through them on the 14th, then the next group in front were playing shirtless, shoeless sharing clubs. I’d had enough at this point.
I didn’t even bother with the last 4 holes and went in, and felt I’d wasted $99.50
Staff informed me they were unstaffed but doing the best they could. Not their fault,
Unlikely I’ll be back which is unfortunate
Great Layout
The course has a great layout but obviously not much money has been spent on the course in recent years. Cart paths & some tee boxes need attention, greens were only okay.
A very friendly bar staff member served us beer at the end of play, and we soon forgot all our bad shots!
A pleasant surprise
The greens on the course let it down for value for money, other than that the course was challenging and a joy to play. I would certainly play it again.
Aberage
Fantastic layout but no maintenance of tees and greens. Such a shame a great course has been neglected so much
Good bones
Great design with a bit more work could be a great course.
Great course,
Great course to play. Well maintained and great layout.
Palmer Gold Coast - hidden gem
I have been a fan of Palmer Gold Coast for many years. The round yesterday was played in good weather, given the damp conditions on Sunday and Tuesday was drier than I had expected. Still wet under foot in some low lying parts of the course. Particularly around the 11/13 hole area. The golfers contributed to mixed round of perfect shots and some to forget. Palmer GC will always be a favorite and yesterday's round proved that the upkeep of the course is receiving adequate funding. Well done to Simon, Stu, Robby and others who turn up to make the experience a great one.
2023 - out with a bang
What can be added to an already great golf course. The course is playing in its best condition. I have been fortunate to play this course for 18 years. Therefore, I can say so based upon the many experiences I have enjoyed over the years.
What was super special is that I responded well to the wonderful course conditions. It was a great feeling to play some of my best golf for a while on the last day of 2023.
The timing of playing together with the pace with which we could play was special and will always be remembered well.
The staff are always good ambassadors of the proshop and the bar. Although we arrived after the kitchen closed and managed to grab a beer from the bar and a sandwich from the proshop.
The experiences you will be fortunate to enjoy should not be delayed now that we have arrived in 2024.
Don't ask why, just when.
