Needs improvement
Wasn’t a big fan of the price. Especially since there is no clubhouse. Should have been at least $5 cheaper
Value for the money
Nice course to walk, as it is relatively flat. Great value for the money, especially since it was the weekend. The only downside was the pace of play on the back 9, as it slowed down to a snail's pace
course conditions are improving
Faiarways were good, mowers were out, greens in good condition, owners working hard at keeping it in good shape
Transients and drug enduced homeless all over walking on the courae
Transients clearly drug enduced walked on my green as I was chipping. A crazy female
Started screaming at me as I teed off because I wouldn’t giver money for trash golf balls she found. The staff does nothing to clean this up. Male and females in tents along the back nine fairway cussing and screaming at each other. It is worse when it’s slower and less golfers are out. They feel they can come out and hassle people. Something needs to be done by the staff and law enforcement.
Club house burned down years ago. Still in a trailer with no seating or grilled food.
Greens and fairways are marginal at best but still a decent course to practice your long game.
Awesome Laid Back Round
Course was in great shape, besides the really odd fact that they have sprinklers running all day long and it will affect your play on some of the holes.
Pace of play was really nice, you can keep pace and not feel like you're being hustled. There are no course amenities, no club house, no food or drinks for sale. They do have drinking fountains out on the course but that is it.
Get the round on a deal and it's worth the 30 bucks for sure
Great Greens
I have played this course for decades and the greens are as fast as I have ever seen them. Winter rules and bumping the ball allows you to almost always have a good lie, for this time of year and the weather, they are managing the course well.
Sad
Sad to see Modesto to not care about sports for youth and high school and to continue to allow the Dryden go to downhill. I guess allowing the homeless to grow in Modesto is more important.
The course was in horrible shape. The greens were not too bad. The front 9 was closed for construction but they’re still charging way to much for that dog track. It’s probably the 2nd worst golf course I’ve ever played! The driving range had no grass to hit off of and no mats. The whole place was a joke
It is what it is
Greens in good shape. Everything else was mediocre, but for the price, who cares. Good course to practice shaping the ball, wide fairways and you can always find your ball the next fairways over.
Would give zero stars if I could
Horrible course conditions with dog poop on the green. Got to the course for specific tee time of 1:27, staff reporting they needed to charge golf carts and none would be available for another 30-45 minutes. I was alright with it because they were accommodating with two buckets of balls to practice at the driving range. About 45 minutes later a group with a 1:40 tee time was given a cart and not our group. Spoke with the guy at the front who was annoyed our group wanted 3 carts instead of two but considering we PAID for 3 carts I don’t see the issue. Unprepared. Trashy. Unprofessional. Got a refund after the staff member arguing about us wanting 3 carts when we had waited over an hour for even 1 cart. This place is a lame excuse for a golf course and business. Don’t go here if you want a quality experience.
Why make a tee time
Had a tee time, didn’t have any carts, guy up front said it would be 15 minutes waited an hour still didn’t have carts. Guy up front was rude. Terrible staff. Gave our carts to a tee time that was behind us. Would not recommend.
Improved
Greens rolled true, fairways and ruff were mowed to proper length. Partnered up with two retired gentleman which made for an enjoyable round of golf.
