course conditions
greens had recently been aerated, so didn't expect much, but crab/water rass growing in the greens was alarming. if that is not addressed, it will get worse until surfaces are unplayable.
pace of play
there needs to be some type of regulation when it comes to slow golfers. group in front of us was taking 20 minues a hole
value for the $$
Course moved along well, course in good condition, was a great day
Day to play
Low 80s temp and a 3 hour 25 minute round teeing of at 12:00 pm.
It was a nice afternoon
This was a lower end City course. It was nice and affordable. We were able to get a tee time.
Decent course, Modesto Muni etiquette, carts not charged
Course was in OK shape, definitely nicer than Dryden. Played on a Saturday afternoon so low expectations of pace of play were met. Guys were skipping holes, jumping on to start the back nine w/o permission and no marshall to be found (probably not since 2001).
Still had a good time until the 14th hole when our cart died. We nursed it and took turns pushing it to finish off our round. Pro shop was locked tight with still an hour of daylight left. We never were able to bring it to their attention so I hope they hear about it now. Unacceptable...
Needs a marshall
This is a fun course, well kept and they take pride in taking care of it but the last three times I have been there, freebies have come from the street and jumped in the carts of single players, they are losing money from free players, that is bad but worse is they share clubs making the play extremely slow. At least have someone with "Marshall" on a cart come around randomly and check how many players are paid per group and one player per bag.
Always a great local course
Had another good time on the course! Friendly as always, pace was good, conditions are good and always amounts to a good time.
Nice Firm Greens
I was a single player partnered with two fine gentlemen from the area. The greens were nicely firm and fairways nicely mowed.
This course has good greens.
Everytime i play here the grees are always kept in great shape, also consistent. They just need to work on managing pace of play and work on eliminating gopher holes.
Aeration?
I was looking forward to playing this course with my son. We arrived and learned the course had been aerated earlier in the week. Back nine greens were not good, we were told. So, we decided to play the front nine. Nice course but it would have been good to know about the aeration before booking. Drove an hour and half to learn about the course conditions.
They were plugging the greens on the front 9, I should have been notified of this before paying my green fees online...so we had to play the back nine twice which was way to crowded to enjoy a day of golf.
expect slow play
the pace is slow, no marshalls to move players along
Another great day out
The course was nice and staff was friendly. Always enjoy my time playing at Creekside.
Good course
I like this course. Sucks that there’s no Marshall because it’s extremely slow. There were also people walking on the course and fishermen at the ponds that were distractions. The fairway were in good condition. Greens were more than acceptable.
