Escalon Golf Course

Me and buddy decided to try this course out, the course is really unmaintained. Apart from the receptionist being super friendly and welcoming. The course needs alot of work. We had acouple laughs on some crazy putts tho. But its a no really playable at all.

Greens were terrible, dirt, weeds and dead grass. Course not kept up, won’t be going back anytime soon

I played here a few years ago and the greens were a disaster and said I will not come back. I decided to try it again and it’s better than the last time but the green have lots of weeds and a bit rough. Work on the greens and you will draw more players.

I’m gonna be short, sweet and honest. First time playing, won’t play again. Not that staff is unfriendly but honestly Caddyshack had a better course. There is one “green” on the entire course, it’s just shorter than the rest of the grass. Besides that, grass hasn’t been kept, pace of play is slow for how small the course is. Driving range you can’t hit over 200 and still have the audacity to charge the same as a full use driving range. They need to either tear this place apart into something else, or be forced to sell because it’s a waste of peoples money and time. And the city of escalon could use a new, cared for course. The course is just a big field that someone threw some holes and a flag in.

The greens are the same as the rough/fairways course is rock hard only 20 bucks but that’s about the worth

Greens were rough but the nature was spectacular. Easy to play holes. Fun casual play with the fellas. Not very busy so you can take your time if you need. It was fun.

Course lay out was nice. Good practice course. Greens were terrible unfortunately. but for the price and play to get by it was fun and staff was friendly .. hit the driving range before the tee time . Has the screens for distance and all that jazz but the lane I got on it wouldn’t load kinda bummer . Will be back though for sure

The course is in absolute garbage conditions. The rough is almost better than the greens. The greens are all choppy with nothing green about the green, just dead grass and sand mounts on the green. No trimmed grass at all it's was very disappointing to play there. Fairways are in very poor conditions too it is overall just a very disappointing course and I hope someone will actually fix it and better the conditions soon. Until then I highly do not recommend this course other than to hit some balls at the range.

The biggest plus is the driving range with the tracers. The course needs work. The tee boxes are so compacted that you can't even stick your tee in the ground. The putting greens are full of weeds and patchy making a decent putt attempt impossible. The course layout is good though. This course is aimed to be a walking course. The carts are in bad shape.

The greens are awful. I’ve played mediocre courses whose fairways more resemble greens than this place.

The tee boxes are destroyed, hard, and uneven.

The staff was nice enough, except for when the sprinklers came on in the range, and they had no way to turn them off.. and fully in the range.. not just near it. Soaked gear before I even swung a club.

They do have the track man in their driving range, and it did seem to be work better than other places I’ve used it.

I don’t remember this course being 30$ to walk, and maybe because of that price am I bothered by the conditions. Easily the worst course I have ever played, unfortunately.

First time their staff is very friendly groundskeeper was working his butt off, trying to keep everything looking as good as it could very windy and he had a couple mowers down but again they work hard for the money you can’t beat it lots of shade, easy course to walk take your time we’re going to the game

Great place to go if you’re looking for a nice relaxing time out on the course. Very friendly staff and never super crowded. Great for beginners to intermediate players. Definitely coming more often with my little ones since they get to fully play without being rushed. Great bang for buck. Next time we will be doing the night golf.

Course over all could use a little facelift but hands down the best bang for buck it there in my opinion. Definitely gonna be golfing here more often

There are many dangerous things on this course from the 3 foot holes that haven’t been covered in a year, or the swamp like conditions. The workers constantly put blame on each other for not getting things done, which in the end has made this place go down hill last year these green were pure now they have goffer holes they don’t fix.

The good: the staff!!! Super friendly, helpful and laid back

The bad: Course is rough, can’t even putt the greens because of little crab grass growth

Fine for the exercise, but not a place to practice your game.
