Manatee Golf Course

I was shocked at the price charged for 1 round w cart & clubs that were relatively worn out

I paid $250 for this That’s 125/each & it was supposed to be the ‘early morning rate’

When I reserved a t time I was quoted $74/rperson. No explanation offered when attendiant was asked

Very nice track course is in good condition but showing signs of a lot of play

I’ve played Manatee several times now,early December and mid February this year. Consistent conditions. Over seeded with rye which I found rare but makes for nice green fairways Vs. dead and brown bumuda. Challenging but very fair. Greens are good not great but roll just fine. Can get crowded on nice days so be prepared for possible slow but not a snails pace. Carts are good.

any amenities much to speak of but I’m there primarily to play. My only complaint would be that from December to February the price doubled.

$30-40 range to $70-80. I would recommend not paying over that $80 mark, ever. It’s a course definitely worthy of putting on your list if you’re in the area.

Fairways in good condition. Greens and tees a little worn. Pace of play was excruciating.

Some tee boxes need serious work. Fairways grass longer than I am accustomed to. Fun coarse and good length. Good price for the condition. Everyone at coarse was very accommodating. Will play again

Nice course to play. Met some fun guys to play with.

Booked late morning weekend round as a single. Was greeted warmly by Terri upon arriving & checking in. Paired up with another single to join awaiting twosome and play as a four ball. Finished in almost exactly four hours with no extended waits. Fairways did have a number of thin patches but we were able to play ‘ball down’ for the entire round. Greens were in decent shape, rolled true, but were much slower than those of other local courses played recently. Tee boxes had not been mowed in a day (or two) but this didn’t prove to be troublesome. Sand traps were in decent condition but rakes were at a premium, with only one rake per trap. Rough was exactly at it’s proper height. As you can see from the above, this is a positive review and I both recommend this course plus look forward to returning again soon.

I knew this was a municipal (county) course, so I want expecting much. I was surprised from the moment I got there. The staff was a friendly as you can get.

The course layout is challenging, with a good bit of water (complete with huge alligators) and bunkers, which were nicely raked.

The fairways are rescue and are well mown and are in great shape. The greens are Bermuda and are nice. They roll a little slow, as you would expect in a course that gets lots of play.

I game up with two nice gentlemen, and we had a great round, which we completed right at 4 hours, even on a Sunday mid day outing.

The only drawback that you might want to be aware of is the course is adjacent to the county water reclamation center. We got a whiff or two of the aroma. Not bad though.

I got a great deal through GolfNow, which made my value a great deal.

When in town, I'll definitely be back.
