Rude clubhouse manager
Was early to tee time and clubhouse manager yelled at me to get in the tee and hit. This was after he sent the group he wanted me to play with out already and had a group of 20 men ready to tee off after them. Poor golf course crowd management and control. Customer service very poor.
Decent value, poor staff interaction
I took a client out to play a round this morning. We were preparing to tee off on number one and one of the staff who was working the desk, his name was Dennis, came out of the office, whistled at us, and proceeded to yell at us to “hurry up” because evidently there were other golfers waiting to play behind us. Now my partner and I play regularly. We were not on the box for longer than 90 seconds when Dennis came out yelling at us. I’m not sure what the expectation but we finished 9 holes in 1:45 minutes and had caught the group in front of us that had teed off 30 min prior by the time we got to 7 and then had to wait for every shot we took for the remainder of our round. Frankly, it was inappropriate and uncalled for and we won’t be returning to Delbrook. After the round I stopped in to address the issue and the gentleman at the counter, not Dennis, apologized and told me he was aware of what happened (because he was right there) had told Dennis it was inappropriate and apologized. I appreciated that interaction but I do not need staff wrecking my round with a client with their poor attitude and treatment.
Day 1 : Everything was great on Friday , the course was a little wet in spots but that was expected . Day 2 : Booked a second round almost immediately after the Day 1 round for Saturday. The problem was that in my gmail and Golf Now confirmations neither mentioned that I would be playing the same nine twice due to a golf outing. Considering I played the same 9 back to back to back and it didn't have to be I was disappointed. It could have been resolved by the course at the turn .
We pretty much had the south/middle courses to ourselves!!! Very hot day and course was dry, but well maintained and in great shape!
27 holes to choose from
Took my son for his birthday and played the north and middle courses. Course was lined with trees, but most trees have clearance at the base which made it possible to find and play the occasional off-fairway shot. Greens were a little slow, but that was to be expected this early in the season. Looking forward to going back and playing the south course!
