Majestic Oaks at Lake Lawn Resort

It’s a short track and pretty open. Don’t be fooled that it’s a cake walk, though. The greens are pretty quick and there’s very few straight putts, woe to those who leave the ball above the hole or on the wrong level of the green.

The course is beautiful with everything in great condition. Greens roll fast and true. Pace of play wasn’t the fastest but the course was in awesome

I found a great rate on Golfpass for this well maintained resort course at Lake Lawn Lodge A couple holes are on the shore of Lake Delavan. Tees and greens are in great shape - greens have a fringe and fairways a first cut. The order of Some holes were changed so my Garmin missed some holes. Bad news is they are shutting down the course next year to build houses on the shoreline. Apparently, Majestic Oaks will be converted to an Executive Course that experienced golfers won’t want to play. Another one bites the dust…

Normally, I don't write reviews over pace of play, but when 9 holes of golf takes 3 1/2 hours to play, I'm commenting. And the total time for 18 holes was close to 6 1/2 hours. I don't care if it's a weekend or not, when you have a bachelor party using the course as their site choice to just horse around instead of golfing, KICK THEM OUT. This situation was inexcusable. When my 4-some reached the #6 tee, there was already another group of four waiting to tee off, 2 groups of 4 in the fairway, another group of 4 on the green, and 2 foursomes waiting to tee off on #7. If I include the group of 4 on the #5 green putting out, that's a total of 32 golfers between the #5 green and the #7 tee box. That's insane. I saw people in carts behind us abandoning the day and just cutting across fairways to reach the parking lot to get away from this fiasco of guys clowning around on the tees and greens, and sending balls in every direction aimed at, who knows what. And nobody from the staff out there monitoring the pace of play or conduct of this bachelor party. To avoid this risk of getting mixed up in this mess again, I will never play here on a weekend AGAIN.

Not my first time and certainly not my last. I love this course. The people, the course, the views and price.

Booked thru golfnow-apparently that means you can't get a raincheck when it pours for 4 hours during your round.Asked about it and was told he was waiting on the pro to decide. Left my name and number- never got a call back. Play here every year but will just spend a little more and play geneva national both days instead of playing Lake Lawn one day- played GN the following day for 10 bucks more. Way more bang for your buck

My 2nd time playing, just a nice course with great views. Course was great.....very nice setup and play.

Beautiful course! The holes are arranged pretty tightly next to each other but it didn’t impact play too much for my group. Almost every green was in great shape and the fairways were beautifully taken care of. Only complaint was the sand traps. They had gotten quite a bit of rain the day before And drove tractors all through the traps leaving a gem packed hard with tracks everywhere. Loved my experience overall!

Thus course has a little of everything for a player. It has scenery, it has some length on certain hole, and it has a good amount of challenging holes to play. Sand traps need a little work

Course was nice, but food was ridiculously priced $14 Brot and $15 hamburger. Recommended that you bring your own food.
