About
Berkshire Valley has a scenic location in the Highlands region of northern New Jersey. It is known as one of best public golf courses in the area. The course is perched atop the ridge of Green Pond Mountain, providing a dramatic topography for a challenging round of golf. The front of the golf course was carefully carved from a hillside, featuring narrow fairways that place a premium on accuracy. The first five holes are particularly scenic as well as formidable. There are some open holes that play along the cliffs, subjecting them to the prevailing winds, one of these is the intimidating par-5 third. The Berkshire Valley golf course finishes with its signature hole. This hole can be deceiving since it has a generous fairway, but the second shot is uphill to a tough green.

Absolutely beautiful course
Played with my friends and it was in very good condition. One of better public course in NJ ans would play again.
Great Course Great Views!
Great course! Challenging holes with beautiful scenery. Like most Jersey courses it can be crowded and pace of play can be slow, especially when it’s cart path only. There needs to be a ranger keeping pace of play. Often I have issues with people taking too long etc, but that’s most jersey courses.
Need for rangers
Beautiful course great layout a little pricey charges 3% if you use a credit card. Pace of play is not good 5 groups on holes 13 and 14 4:45 hr round on a Tuesday

Great golf on an amazing course. The game is about skill on a well laid out track. The visuals are also amazing!

Golf scene
We enjoyed playing today. Pace of play was good. Course in good condition
Good course
Overall a great course. Nice layout. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very well maintained.
The course is fun and challenging. Some of the views are awesome. They say the view from hole one is great and it is but some of the back nine tee boxes have amazing views of the course. Take a second on the tee boxes and look around it’s worth it.
I’ll definitely play here again and would definitely recommend.

Course in the heat
Played in hottest round ever , Some greens were little rough but weather been crazy hot, besides that little slow but overall if you get right price this is a beautiful set up and great test in golf ,
