Berkshire Valley Golf Course

This course was fucjing amazing. Great greens. Views and fairways. Also has a quick little halfway house to get a quick burguh.

This course is the epitome of a course that doesn't care about their golfers because their tee times get booked regardless, probably by county residents who receive a discounted rate with their county card. If you look at their Google Reviews, the same complaints have been posted for months, and they all have the same "we appreciate your feedback" response but clearly nothing has changed. When I went there was almost always 3 groups on a hole, most holes the group in front of us was teeing off when we arrived. The starter was just sending off groups when they showed up. I saw multiple groups of 2 that could have been put together to alleviate congestion. But instead my round took 5+ hours. And in that time, I didn't see a ranger once. This was peak time on a Saturday. If they weren't around then, when were they around? Lastly, they had a "No Outside Alcohol" sign, which is understandable for courses wanting to make a profit selling booze. Except they don't have a liquor license, which i only found out when I asked the cart girl for a couple beers. The course itself is beautiful, although it holds water like a bucket. If you have a county card and some time to kill, its probably worth it. But its a bit of a drive for me, and I paid over $100. Once is enough unless they start to bother enforcing pace of play and put players ahead of profit.

The course is very challenging yet friendly. First and 2nd I played off the Blue Tees and found the course challenging and last week I played the white tee and found the results very encouraging.

I would say that this course is definitely above average and highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy the valley view and excellent course conditions with reasonable green speed (probably around 9.5)

My favorite tristate course. Beautiful views...friendly staff...plays differently from different tees to challenge everyone. Plus I got my 2nd hole in one in my golfing life on #16 ! Go Play!

Slow play-3 groups on one hole is crazy…stuck behind a deuce, by 18 they were 2 holes behind schedule…course conditions were not bad, only issue is not sure the traps have been raked/tended to in a while, guessing thats a staffing issue, who knows.

Great layout...great views....great staff....hey my fellow golfers....please replace your divots...let's keep Berkshire great!!!

Obviously late march is early in the season so course conditions were subpar, as is to be expected. However generally this course is kept in pretty good condition with good greens & playable rough. Tee boxes can get best up sometimes.

I am told they are under new management, so I will see if the course conditions change this year.

For a county course this is a unique vista & also rather challenging, especially the intimidating first few holes.

_ The course has a considerable number of forced carrys off the tee - whether water or tall weeds/grass- which mostly penalize a poor players already poor tee shot. Meaning, this course is not for the beginning golfer or some1 who ... worm-burns the ball a lot.
