Berkshire Valley Golf Course

Great layout...great views....great staff....hey my fellow golfers....please replace your divots...let's keep Berkshire great!!!

Obviously late march is early in the season so course conditions were subpar, as is to be expected. However generally this course is kept in pretty good condition with good greens & playable rough. Tee boxes can get best up sometimes.

I am told they are under new management, so I will see if the course conditions change this year.

For a county course this is a unique vista & also rather challenging, especially the intimidating first few holes.

_ The course has a considerable number of forced carrys off the tee - whether water or tall weeds/grass- which mostly penalize a poor players already poor tee shot. Meaning, this course is not for the beginning golfer or some1 who ... worm-burns the ball a lot.

Had fun game last Monday.

Course is fun. Great staff.

Only thing i wish? Ranger. Pace so slow. Some player take more than 10 mins on green.

Love this track beautiful views and a great layout , in excellent condition for November , only problem I have with it is I can’t get out there often enough

Beautiful course in the hills in a valley. Course was well groomed and wow!!...the views are just awesome.

Course was in perfect condition and couldn’t ask for better weather

Berkshire is one of the best public courses in NJ especially with regards to the layout and scenery. Overall conditions are phenomenal as well with an exception to a few beaten up tee boxes. Green speeds were the fastest I’ve ever played on but rolled true with perfectly cut holes.

Negatives being the absurd pace of play of 5.5 hours including the first 4 holes taking nearly 2 hours with three groups waiting on each tee. Also the starter could use some better people skills. Very rude to say the least.

Course is an absolute gem and couldn’t be a more beautiful setting for fall golf. But be prepared for frost delays with earlier tee times. Waited an hour and a half to tee off and it was pretty much a disaster. Starter was losing it on pretty much anyone that breathed in his direction. Everyone was sent to 9 to start where there were 3 groups waiting to tee off. Took me nearly 3 hours to complete 9 and I left.

Great condition, greens were quick. Layout was superb. Always in good condition.

Started round at 9:10 am. Finished 2:58. No ranger to speed up pace of play. Tee boxes looking like pinch brooks tee boxes. No interest in going back

Course was shutting down all back tee boxes for extended maintenance while we we playing so requested a refund for the back nine and was granted.
