Berkshire Valley Golf Course

First time there and will definitely be back. True risk reward course greens are in great condition and lots of undulation makes it fun. Open fairways with trouble if you don’t hit them and fairways are in great condition. Tee boxes are a little beat up but it’s late in the season and it’s irons only on the range. One of my favorite tracks in new jersey

Challenging course with narrow fairways. Only mishap is the design and layout of this course as you don’t return to the clubhouse after 9. Make sure you have plenty of golf balls!

I have played this course many times. It’s a great, scenic layout and location but it’s being run on the cheap. The tee boxes are chewed up and have been since April, sand traps are full of rocks, there is no drinking water on the course and you literally cannot see the green on one of the par 3’s (#12) from the tee because it is blocked by overgrown reeds. Beware if you need to eat and haven’t brought any food. The grill may or may not be open, it’s random. Other county courses such as Neshanic and Hominy Hill put this course to shame when it comes to appropriate investment.

No rangers. Very slow pace of plat. Tee boxes not well maintained. Nice challenging layout.

berkshire is a beautiful well kept course with a friendly staff and great views from the first 2 holes. However their pace of play the 6 times I've played in the last year on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday have all been 4hrs 45 minutes to 5hrs 15 minutes waiting every hole and every other shot. Their golf carts have no GPS and no cover in the back for your clubs. They no longer have any rangers to speed up pace of play. No senior rate if your out of county and a Troon course that doesn't give you points on your Troom card

Everything about Berkshire is wonderful except it consistently exceeds 5 hours, even on weekdays!

The course is long and challenging especially from the black tees. Really nice layout and a beautiful setting in a valley surrounded by hills. Only issue is the conditions and maintenance of the course itself. Tee boxes were mostly fine but the fairways and greens were a mess. tons of divots, dead patches of grass etc. Also the bunkers were not in the best shape. Overall ok, but don't expect a pristine course.

Wonderful in every aspect except it’s always a 5hour plus round.

Course is nice. I like the layout and the variety of shots you need to play. Every year I visit my friends in NJ and play a round here but forgot not to take Tee time in the morning as they do not wipe the green (!!!!) so really does not worth the money you pay! On the opposite pace of play was good ant it took me 4 hours to play a round (but we were the second Group teeing off at 6:20).

Enjoy the app and disappointed doesn't do veterans discounts or the courses do not offer

Course is very nice and I would suggest it to anyone Who happens to be in the area. Sorry to aknowledge that there is a starter quite rude !

Other negative is that greens in the morning do not get wiped out so if you have an early tee time (as I had at 6:20) putting is really a nightmare for all the 18 holes! For more than $90 for a round they should do better (as Flanders Valley does, for example!)

Driving in the view is spectacular

Unfortunately it was cart paths only when we played so it was slow

But a great course

Wish people would fix those divots and ball marks
