Spruce Creek Country Club

Arrived at the course for a pre paid hot deal time and although the lot was not even half full, we were informed that my wife and I could not ride in a cart together due to COVID restrictions but we would be paired up with 2 single players who we did not know and who did not know each other. We requested that we be able to play as a 2some due to the COVID restrictions and precautionary measures we have observed at other courses in the area,, by not requiring anyone to be paired with players they do not know and did not arrive with. Instead of making accommodations for us, “Mike” told us to “call golf now and get a refund”. It was obvious that he felt as though we should subject ourselves to an uncomfortable round with strangers at a precarious time, because we had a “hot deal” time through golf now and somehow we didn’t deserve to be treated as well as those that paid full price. So, we went to another local course that was apprecIative of our concerns and we had a great day despite the poor attitude of the pro shop attendant at Spruce Creek. If a course offers discounted tee times, they should treat everyone equally and not feel as though saving $10 entitles them to treat you as an unwanted guest.

Nice layout with interesting holes. Conditions ok considering such a dry spring. Good service except for no ice on property

Pretty dry fairways so plenty of roll. Greens were good for this area, now maybe needed more water. Wide open course so pretty easy scoring

As soon as we got there, it was our turn to tee off. Great timing. The stater came our to greet us. He got us to the first tee and gave 4 of us a very nice greeting and run down of the course, flag placement and green speed. I've never had that kind of greeting before. They matched us up with an older couple. That was ok. He wanted to play from the senior tees. So, just to speed things up, I also played from there. The fairways were a bit on the bare side. Not bad but some bald spots. Tight lies. There greens were fast as there stater said. They did grab the ball on approach shots. The greens had many undulations. Hard to make long putts but bad on me. Greens were better than then the fairways. The course layout was nice.

We will play again and we recommend this place.

great course from tees to greens. played with a nice couple from Canada, will play again in the near future.

this place has some of the best greens in the area. pace of play for a Saturday was excellent. Course can't be beat. only issue are the range balls - please spend a few dollars on new practice balls some of them are twenty years old.

The greens where in good shape and fast. The fairways and , sand traps where very good. Some of the tee stations had new sod on them and others needed work. Nice layout will play again if I get back here.(liked seeing all the different airplanes)

Tee boxes are a bit rough but greens are in good shape.

we got to the course a few minutes early the friend[y club house staff sent us right out we were paired up with a nice gentleman the course was in real good shape especially the greens ,been here 3 weeks and these greens were the best so far,so if your in the Daytona area go play this course

POOR PACE OF PLAY

7 minutes between tee times does nothing BUT upset golfers.

I understand the need to make money during the “season” but waiting on EVERY shot does nothing but upset golfers

I been playing this course for. two years. It’s in the best condition. The greens are fast and roll true. Great deal for the money.

Fantastic course, I’ve played all around Florida and this course is in my top 15, great layout, greens rolled true, and The staff was very friendly. Will be back again soon

Greens - excellent condition, fast and enough slope etc to make for challenging putting. Fairways some good conditions others fair. Rough and cart paths need work. Worth playing
