New Smyrna Golf Club

Was caught in huge traffic jam which caused me to be an hour late for tee time. Upon arrival, staff got my pair on course almost immediately

The course was in rough shape....Tee boxes were in bad shape. Greens were good not great. Coke machines did not give correct change. (Not that this has anything to do with the course conditions). Give the course a 6 out of 10.

PLAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES ALWAYS FOUND COURSE TO BE IN NICE SHAPE WITH A FRIENDLY WELCOME I RECOMEND IT ANY TIME

From CT, last day in Florida, decided to play this course. Rain was unexpected. We played first hole in light Rain, but started pouring rain. Went in got lunch , was very good. 45 min of hard Rain they shut down the course. Played 1 hole would not offer refund, gave credit, but only good for 1 month. Basically paid 45 dollars for 1 hole.

My Friday group loves this course but in the last year their rates have skyrocketed to be out of reach. We jumped at the opportunity to play for $35 knowing the greens were punched 11 days prior. They were puttable but the speed was a little uneven. The rest of the course was in what I would call "good municipal" shape, meaning not a prime golf course but reasonably well taken care of. The fairways were a little tight generally but everything was playable, including the traps.

Great layout and nice people, and a first class restaurant on premises.

Great layout. Greens were just rarified, so not the best experience yesterday. But, course is a great value, and a good test of golf.

Play was VERY slow on the back nine because there was a group of 6 plying together. Probably 'members' of locals, but still course needs to prevent this. As we played 13 noticed on14 that there were 4 carts together. A group of 4 were waiting of on the tee. I counted 6 players within those 4 counts. As I waited on 15 noticed them tee off on 16. We were 2 and understand having to wait some, but not for a group of 6. Course needs to stop this action however they can

Checking in was a nightmare, couldn’t get the woman behind the counter to understand that I had paid part of the fees in advance when booking with golf pass. I repeatedly showed her the email which clearly stated how much I had paid at booking and how much was due at the course. Gave up trying to get an idiot to understand and was charged an extra $3.62, nothing to lose sleep over but how many competent can someone be? Having played this course before I wasn’t expecting top notch course conditions, however I must admit the course was in as good of shape as I’ve ever seen it. The second hole however had been shorten up by 150 - 200 yds, sign at tee said all tees moved to forward tee position for maintenance purposes. My group couldn’t really see what maintenance was being done so can’t really say why this sign was posted. Would have been nice to know this prior to booking.

Wide open, very forgiving. Greens are as good as LPGA, fast but true.

Always in good condition. The greens are the highlight of the course. Rolls very true. Fairways somewhat worn but overall it’s a great muni for the money.
