Golfer Reviews
Once in a while, no more than that
Course iis in very bad conditions, 1st nine is terrible!, second nine is better. Greens are slow. No staff, no investments in the field. We paid 40 $ each, it must be the maximum that you should pay for that course.
Positive point: sand traps are in good conditions:,
Better than most
Have not found another course in area that is as in good condition as Spruce Creek. Somewhat challenging and a picturesque back nine made this one of my favorites to play.
Beware! Golf Now golfers obviously not wanted
I apologize up front for talking more about the hospitality of these 2 courses than the course itself but Golf Now should know about how courses react to Golf Now patrons. Played Spruce Creek last week and had an altercation with someone from the DESK after getting to the tee box. Being there early I checked with the baggage gentlemen who happen to be the one letting people out. He told me about a large group going out shortly which would have resulted in me getting substantially behind schedule. He said check with the desk about joining up with a 3-some getting ready to go out. I did so and was told I had to wait until the rest of the Golf Now bookings checked in(I did not know these people). Went back out and the same man said that 3-some was the first of that large group and I should go and join them. They were great and welcomed me. As I approached the tee box the front desk guy came zipping up in a golf cart and told me I shouldn't join them and if I didn't like the rules then I should contact, and very sarcastically, your Golf Now and try to get a refund. I've heard of others talk about some of the GN bias at courses but this was over the top. Anyhow, from now on Spruce Creek is off my list.
Now for the exceptional treatment I received at Eagle Marsh. Checking in at the pro shop there was a problem with my reservation not showing up on his tee sheet. He promptly called Golf Now, which put him on hold trying to make the connection to a representative. After a min or two the gentlemen told me to go on out and since it was GN he would wait for the confirmation. A big smile and off I went. The course was in great shape and I had a very enjoyable day. Thank you Eagle Creek for your courtesy & consideration. I'll totally recommend you every time. Golf Now should look into courses that obviously don't want GN golfers
March 8
Staff very friendly. Good driving range/practice facilities. Front side fun. Backside difficult with narrow fairways and water hazards . Because of difficulty on back paceof play was slow.
Good value
Enjoyed the course. Would go back again. We had planned to buy a few things at the pro shop but it was closed at 5:25 when we finished.
Nice Track, Recommended
Definitely a fun track to play. Nothing really difficult, which makes this course nice for the average golfer. I could see it being a little challenging the farther you move back on the tees. I will be returning to play this course again.
Nice course, friendly staff good value
Spruce Creek is a very Nice course, friendly staff good value. Would definitely recommend.
GOOD LAYOUT
very good interesting track.Greens good speed. and good condition.
Slow play
I have played this course several times. Today it was very crowded. It appears it hasn't grown much as there was a lot of bare spots.
Nice course with airplanes ✈️
A favorite course situated on a busy private airport, where you might see anything from jets to warbirds. The course is in good shape with some redone paths, stairs up to an elevated tee box and good greens. The fairway grass is short, therefore some tight lies but definitely a nice place to play. We found the tee boxes in bad shape today...needs some attention.
