Course was in good shape. The greens were rolling true.
Has potential, but a shadow of it's former self..
First time playing the new layout. I was a regular at the old East Course, which I liked. The course is un-recognizable for players familiar with the East Course. There are two holes that are about the same - everything else on the east side is new or a mash-up of old holes. Can't speak for the experience from a West Course perspective as I never got to play it.
The greens were pretty rough. Below the quality you would expect based on historical conditions at this course and the price they charge. Watering was very uneven, with alternating lush areas and areas reminiscent of concrete. The holes themselves are pretty good, but it seems like they need more time and TLC to play well. The layout doesn't flow well and would be a nightmare to walk - long transfers from 9 to 10 and 15 to 16. Seems like they pieced holes together to suit whatever plans the housing developer made. Pretty depressing.
Finally, the experience is less polished. Gone is the gazebo with staff organizing carts etc. It's more a figure-it-out-yourself type vibe. I found a free cart with a key in it and got on with it. The practice range and green are rough around the edges. There was a starter, but that's the last staff we saw. The pace of play was pretty slow, as is often the case when afternoon golfers are left to their own devices.
This course might turn out to be a nice place to play at some point, but it needs work in many areas. Hard to imagine that it will ever live up to the experience it provided before they decided to ditch 18 holes in favor of houses.
Needs better maintenance
I understand that the course is going through changes due to the ongoing housing project however there need to be better maintenance of the course. Tee boxes were in bad conditions, Fairways not maintained and the greens were full of bumps.
The ongoing construction did not provide a visual treat either.
Hope to see it improve the next time I play there
Nice course.
Great course and like the layout can be easy from the front tees and very difficult from the back so something for everybody.
Great
Course was in great shape fairways where green and very nice greens where in very good shape there where a few bad spots for all the work being done there this course is awesome.. will be back again ( in a year with the way they are working on this place it’s going to be a gem )
Glad this course is back open
Always loved this course layout and happy they reopened. Great value.

they took 2 course and are making it into one.

it's a work in progress
not worth the $95 from golf now
Great course
Ever since the merge the course has been in great condition. Very fun course.
This course is in great shape
Course is in great shape and has the right mix of tough holes and gettable holes. Great course.
Course is great
Course staff is extremely friendly. The pace of play was solid with each of the players encountered being friendly and take care of the course. Would recommend this course to others.
Solid
Recently renovated, and the results are pretty good. I’ve seen some complaints about the bunkers, and they seem to have fixed that. Greens could be in better shape, but overall good condition. Staff are very friendly and environment is good. On the pricier side, but worth it.
What. A. Course.
Was skeptical at first cause of the course cause of its previous bad reviews, but boy was I impressed. The course itself was in beautiful condition and was shocked at how true it played. We went out on a Saturday afternoon as a foursome and the pace of play was utterly fantastic. I mean I can’t say enough about how amazing the experience was. Afterwards me and my foursome went into the bar and grill for some food. It was absolutely fantastic along with great service from the bartender Steve. I would recommend this course to anyone around when it is available to play because you will not be disappointed.
Well-Maintained and Fun to Play
The course is in much better condition since the merge of the West and East courses. The fast pace of play was one of the best parts of the whole experience. It’s a fun course layout, with the right balance of challenge to keep it interesting. The staff is great, and the warm-up area is top tier, including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green all in one spot. Even the carts are brand new. A lot has changed for the better. I’d definitely recommend Royce Brook.
