About
The 27-hole Neshanic Valley Golf Course is the flagship course of the Somerset County Park Commission system. The renowned design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry created the course. Divided into three nines known as the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow, the course provides three different 18-hole combinations. Each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees. The Meadow/Lake Course features ample amounts of fescue along both the fairways and greens. If you don't hit straight off the tees, you may find yourself in some trouble. There are cavernous bunkers framing the greens, which are also subtly sloped for even more of a challenge. The golf course begins and ends with water holes but you'll find environmentally sensitive wetland areas that come into play throughout. In addition to the 27-hole course, Neshanic Valley also has a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course.

Great course - worth the drive!!
Everything was good except the starter who was very rude…such people should not be hired in such positions.. the staff inside the clubhouse were very friendly..
Best public course in NJ - beats many private ones
Played on Friday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend. Great staff - easy check in. Starter was friendly. Practice green in great condition. Two of us walked and two took a cart. We played Meadow-Lake combo. We finished Meadow in 2 hours. Lake took a bit longer - 2 hours 15 mins due to a slow group ahead of us. Conditions are fantastic throughout - tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens. You won’t find better conditions at many private clubs. Rough is getting thicker so harder to find balls that go in there. Highly recommend playing this course. Thank you Somerset County for the great conditions you maintain here and other county courses also.
Very nice 18 holes course!
We had excellent experience playing the Ridge-Meadow course, the staff are helpful and friendly, the course is very well maintained, the view is superb, overall it’s fantastic. Will definitely come back to play Lake course later.

Course is amazing, greens fairways it’s like playing Trump.
Always Fantastic
If you have never played here before, please do. You pull into the driveway, and you should ask yourself. Where is the Hote on this property? Haha. Conditions are always fantastic, and this course drains really well. When you think it’ll be cart path only, it won’t be here.
Bunkers always have fresh sand, tee boxes, fairways are always in great shape. Greens will never be lightning, but very fair. Don’t forget to hit the “Grass Only” range before your round.
