About
Neshanic Valley Golf Course is a 27-hole layout that sprawls across 420 acres of rolling farmland. It is the flagship course of the five-course Somerset County Park Commission system. The design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry crafted the layout, which is divided into three nines called the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow. The nines can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The Lake/Ridge Course, as the name would imply, starts out with a few water holes. In addition to the lakes on the front nine, environmentally sensitive wetland areas come into play throughout. The fairways and greens are bordered by ample fescue and the putting surfaces are closely guarded by strategically placed bunkers. Neshanic Valley also offers a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course, which is great for beginners.

Neshanic Valley
Nice course only issue was they sent us of the ridge 9 first and the meadow course second. Was a little confusing for my gps as it came up the opposite way while searching for course so it took a couple holes for me to correct. Also ridge 9 much more challenging so would have preferred playing as back 9.
Nice Friday morning round
Nice day. Very warm in the mid-90's. Avoided any rain. Conditions and course were great. Would love to play more often but it's hard to get times.
It's frustrating trying to change your tee time. Forget GolfNow - no one answers any phones there. They used to have a chat feature (which isn't fun when you're on a phone in a parking lot) but no more. Course didn't pick up either, went right to voicemail. Luckily it wasn't an issue but it's annoying not being able to call GolfNow anymore.
Country Club
Feels like a country club. Very scenic course with ample amount of fairway. Challenging course but not so overwhelming. Staff is very friendly
Wow what a course pristine fairways magnificent what a beautiful course beautiful views highly recommend this course
Always Good
3 good nines. I drive 50 miles to play this track.
Neshanic is on my list of courses I play regularly.
Must Play
Great course, have not played in over two years and wondering why not. Such a beautiful course, fairways in great shape, rough is a challenge to hit out. If playing for first time a handful of blind shots and some undulating fairways. Beautiful views, only drawback is people not fixing ball marks on greens. Definitely will be back soon and highly recommend playing.

Great course
I typically play the Academy course only because the main courses are booked but was lucky enough to find a deal on Golfnow for $35. It makes sense this is typically $85 on Saturday. A great course and in perfect condition. The staff was friendly and had no issues with pace of play. Was a little annoyed the cart girl never made an appearance. Otherwise a great outing

Love this course
Love this course, But I wish I could play the lake nine first, because I’m always tired when I get to it in the last two holes are killer for me. Nonetheless if there is a time available tomorrow I will play it again
Great staff, greens could be better
Been playing here for years. Staff is doing a great job especially in the pandemic environment. Layout and views as good as it gets for central jersey. However, this year the greens have been extremely slow. Could be that the humid weather requires keeping height a little higher. But when downhill puts are not rolling out, it gets frustrating. Hope they can get the greens back to previous form.
