About
Neshanic Valley Golf Course is a 27-hole layout that sprawls across 420 acres of rolling farmland. It is the flagship course of the five-course Somerset County Park Commission system. The design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry crafted the layout, which is divided into three nines called the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow. The nines can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The Lake/Ridge Course, as the name would imply, starts out with a few water holes. In addition to the lakes on the front nine, environmentally sensitive wetland areas come into play throughout. The fairways and greens are bordered by ample fescue and the putting surfaces are closely guarded by strategically placed bunkers. Neshanic Valley also offers a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course, which is great for beginners.

Enjoyed end to end
Good course in good condition. Grass driving range and good practice green. Worth traveling 60 miles for!
Challenging
Many holes require precision tee shots to avoid well placed hazards. Course layout is well designed and requires a number of different shots. Grounds crew keeps this course in great condition from tee to green. A good test of your skills.
Great course!
This is a gem. The course is on beautiful condition.
They have a driving range also. We started on time and pace of play was continuous. For the ladies, make sure you stop at tue club house after the 9th hole, no facilities available on the course.

Show some respect
Terrific course. Excellent conditions for the most part. The carts are excellent, including GPS, however they do shut down when you enter a “ restricted area “. Some are many yards before the directional cart signs.. it does get frustrating when you have to back up, and at times the cart cut off while driving directly to the cart path,
A few of the fairways are chewed up. No fault of the course. (Inconsiderate)Players need to replace their divots. No water available on the course to refill a bottle and this is a place that used to provide complimentary bottles of water.
Refreshment
It would be good have more water refreshment around the course. There were a couple of ice boxes that were empty. It was hot day.
Beautiful and challenging 27 holes of public golf.
Three great nine hole public courses with beautiful scenery, excellent course layout, and challenging but still fun for average golfers. Courses are in excellent condition. Links style courses. Elevated tee boxes with wide fairways makes tee shots enjoyable. Greens roll true. Bunkers have nice powdery sand. Highly recommend going here if you haven't yet.
Better than some private courses
This course has is better than some private courses. The new carts alone set it apart. The carts have maps of the course with distances. And when you get near the green the map shows the prevailing breaks. The range and training area is better than most private clubs.

Great course!!
Only issue is that you cannot choose the 2/3 9 holes - they always give you Ridge & Lake..
Wanted to play Meadows & Ridge..
Overall the course is in great shape except a few greens which were really beat-up.
Pleasurable experience
It’s always a pleasure to play this course.
Just driving on Chubb Rd before the golf course entrance and seeing the course on the left almost gives me chills every time.
The course is nearly immaculate in my opinion.
The greens are a little “marked” up from unprepared ball marks, but everything else is really well maintained.
This is one golf course I don’t mind paying a higher price to play.
Definitely play here.
