About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Needs work
Green ok fairway crabgrass I no the course but her no marker no 150 or hundred yard markers no regime The value pretty good for the money it’s a shame has a great layout I really love the course just need a lot of work in the sand bunkers Terrible

Course needs a lot of care. Each fairway was dry with crab grass. Course was in better shape last year.

No happy
I’ve been a regular golfer for south jersey courses. White oaks is always a fun layout and I always enjoy it until yesterday. Tee boxes were unacceptable. No attention is being put on them during this dry spell of 2022. I expected fairways to be burnt out in spots but the tee boxes were overgrown with crabgrass. Greens were great but won’t be for next month with aeration planned tomorrow. Won’t be back here till 2023

Has so much potential
I’m not one to write reviews, but when it comes to golfing on new courses, reading the reviews before hand have been very helpful so.
The layout of the course is great. A lot of cool holes. The condition of the course is absolutely unacceptable. The fairways are burnt up and chewed up so bad. The green’s, same thing. The T-Boxes have rough like grass on most of them and the sand traps are so bad and unsafe to be honest. During one of my shots out of the trap, I connected with a golf ball size rock. There were many small and medium size rocks in the traps. Some of the traps were so beat up, they were unplayable.
The staff was great, very nice. I didn’t try the 5$ roast beef sandwiches, maybe I should have. I shot an 82 three days prior to this round at Pitman. I shot a 94 here and not making excuses but, the majority of bogeys and double bogeys were due to the conditions.
Oh, cell service is non existent on the course as well.
This course has a ton of potential. They just need to clean it up.

good course to play but not in good condition
they must be having problems with there sprinkler system as everything is dry and weeds are all over the place...some of the greens are beginning to get bare spots...the course is challenging and worth a try..had to move my ball to grass in most fairways...they use golf now to set up tee times so no flex for price....

Crab grass
Fairways have a Ton of crap. Good lay out. Needs to be up kept a little better. Luckily value was there

Needs some help
I really only take the time to review courses when they are particularly memorable in either a good or a bad way.. We golf at white oaks fairly frequently and typically have a great time. Today was not one of those instances. For the nitty gritty.. the fairways are non-existent. It’s a mix of dirt and crabgrass. You have to find a decent spot to put your ball in the fairway if you want to actually hit off the proper turf. The tee boxes were absolutely destroyed. The greens were not much better. Very tough to read putts when you have three different types of grass/weeds that you are trying to putt through plus the 50 divots that the guys before you didn’t fix. The pace of play was unbelievably slow. It took us 5 hours and 10 minutes to finish a round at a course that isn’t even that difficult. The course was not grouping people and just sending out twosomes or threesomes right on top of each other. We were waiting on some tee boxes for more than 15 minutes. There was no ranger and people were skipping all over the place jumping in front of other groups waiting to golf. I know they had a club championship in the morning, but that doesn’t mean that the afternoon should be a circus. Hopefully they take the time and effort to get the course cleaned up a bit and to keep the course operating smoothly. I know it’s cheap, but In all honesty I would recommend shelling out a couple extra buck and playing at another local course.

The greens look awesome but they forgot to maintain the fairway and tee boxes

Not great
There is a reason why this course is so cheap. The only thing half decent about it is the greens. Otherwise, a lot of crabgrass everywhere else, bare spots, rock in all of the bunkers, uneven tee boxes. I played here a week ago, and I would have given the course a 3 star rating. It went way downhill in such a little time.

Not too good
Fairways, greens and tee boxes were in bad shape..fairways were crabgrass with no definition, greens were very slow and tee boxes were torn up with markers pointing you into the wrong direction. I know we haven't had a lot of rain lately, but other courses are in much better shape and dealt with the same circumstances. Hopefully the conditions improve but it doesn't look like they're putting much effort into making it a course to want to come back and play..and we only paid $25. Will stay away for awhile.
