About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Terrible conditions!
The whole course is in awful condition !! It was aerated and plugs were everywhere. Sand on greens. Many Bare spots in the fairways!! Don’t waste the trip. Used to be beautiful and the decline is amazing and not n a good way. Only $29 but no bargain!!!

How to make things right??
White Oaks responded to my last review (course is UNPLAYABLE at best) saying to please reach out so “we can make things right”.
I’m happy to reach out, however, no email address to respond to, or directive to follow?

NJ best kept secret
The staff are awesome! The one and only negative was the greens conditions. They were in rough shape. Aside from the greens the rest of the course was very nice.

grrens are in pretty bad shape. maybe its the hot weather weve been having or insect issues most traps were full of water

Needs care
The sand traps were finally in good shape. . The greens were in bad shape. No starter or ranger other golfer hit up several times even with our good pace..

Sand traps aka water hazards! Or you could also call their bunkers mud-traps!!

COVID has to be the reason
This course has gone down hill fast. COVID?-
The course got it.
When other courses like Centerton and Pinelands are getting better this course unfortunately is lacking proper upkeep. Even paying $12 (discounted) was disappointing. They had an outing before our round and every green had ball marks which didn’t help with what little green was actually on the green. Par 3 12th fairway was yellow? Once the COVID is over hopefully not will improve.

"worth" the money
Wild to see that the course could be so burnt out, but also sloppy wet. Greens/fairways were scorched, there isn't even sand available on the tee boxes(which are pummeled). Pretty sad to see the refreshments finish around 2pm and the bar is closed after like 3, because a bottle of water would have been nice.

The greens were horrible; the fairways were equally bad. The layout is nice. GolfNow listed White Oaks as a hot deal and I had an earned credit, hence the price.

Disgrace
What a disgrace. This use to be one of my favorite courses. Challenging layout cut right out of the south jersey pines.
Course was in terrible shape. Worst course I have played this year except perhaps Centerton!. Every green was horrible, fairways of crabgrass/dirt, rock hard stonebunkers, tee boxes littered with broken tees. And the worst part, aside from the huge chunk missing from the driver's seat, our cart was filthy! Someones beverage was spilled all over the console from who knows when!!?? Buy a pressure washer!!!
Owners (not management) better get to that course before it goes the way of Becket. Maybe that's the plan.

Losing the greens
Greens burnt out. Weeds growing on greens. Fairways patchy burnt areas also. Not planning on returning anytime soon. Also never have drinking water out. How hard is it to maintain water stations on course. Done here.

$29 round with cart
Knew something was up - it’s never this cheap especially summer time. True enough , greens and fairways were terrible. But can’t complain - got my fix at $29. I wouldn’t pay more than that though.
What’s up ? lack of personnel ? Funds? I’ve played courses like these when they are about to go bankrupt and eventually close.

Sadly it looks as though they may lose a number of greens.
The greens are in terrible shape. Pace of play was irritating at best. It seems that golfers at this course I have never learned or forgot many of the rules of etiquette.

The greens on the front nine were in poor condition and while there had been heavy rain 2 days before, nearly all of the traps were like lakes with no visible efforts made to drain them. This is not a difficult course and you should be able to play this course in under 4 hours, however we had 3 groups in front of us that did not play "ready golf" and were terribly slow.. What should have been a pleasant round turned into a 5 hour slog around the course.
