White Oaks Country Club
About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

Unfriendly members playing behind us
Two gentlemen behind our group of three hit over our head numerous times I finally contacted the Ranger. He did a very good job of controlling the situation, but it’s sad when it’s a member of your club that is inconsiderate of other people and has no respect for other golfers and your Country Club.
Thank you Angelo Molinari
Great course!
Great course! Lots of fun! Any bad day at golf is still better than a good day at the office!
Improving conditions
Overall not bad
The greens are lightly sanded and are playing slow
Fairway are still not great but growing and improving
Players need to come out and enjoy
Good things happening
Greens had been aerated a month ago, they rolled smooth but slow, had not been cut due to the rain previous days. They have done great work improving the greens, but the fairways were uncut ,uneven grass, but there was grass. Tee boxes, traps and rough were lacking. They are doing work and with spring season expecting good things going forward at this course as it is a good layout and reasonably priced.
OK
OK for time of year and price.
GPS is TERRIABLE as it shuts off cart even when you are on CART PATH.
Still had sand on greens but they were fast and true.
Much better job of leaf removal.
Fun but tight
Tight course. Not overly long. Greens were recently aerated so it’s difficult to gauge the greens but it had some bare spots in fairways. Overall a fun course. I’d like to try it in a few weeks when some grass has had a chance to grow and the greens are rolling better.
Aeration
When booking on GolfNow a week and a half out, there was no notification of aeration taking place. Didn’t find out until 3 days before when the course called me and said “can we move you up to 920”. Because they had to reschedule aeration. Didn’t say “the back 9 was just aerated and the front 9 will be closed”. Nothing.
Got to the course 20 minutes early. Walked inside, staff is friendly but found out right before our tee time that we would be playing the back 9 twice. It’s a shady way to hold people to their tee times. Because either way I was gonna paying full price because of the cancellation policy. So I was screwed. I enjoy this course but this is not how to maintain a solid customer base.
Cluster
Front 9 was closed. Told to play back 9 twice. Greens were aerated and sanded. 2.5 hrs later, after finishing 9 holes and knowing another 9 would be at least that long, we left. Course should inform GolfNow and/or players in advance.
White Oaks 3/16/25
Not quite spring, but the conditions were acceptable. Time to rethink cart path conditions, overall marginal and sand trap material, too many stones for me. Yes, I know, stay out of 'em...Good pace, GPS helpful... Look forward to a future round later in '25.
Not prepared for the amount of players on a nice March day
Course is usually one of my go-to courses and rarely had any issues until this one. Unfortunately, they were short on carts, so what should have been a 12:03pm tee time was closer to 12:30-12:40pm. What made it worse was the huge gap between the group we got carts from and the one in front of them, which was at least 30 minutes and there were still as least 16 players still waiting to go out. The silver lining to this was since there was such a large gap between us and the previous group we flew through the front 9, playing is just over 1 hour. Back 9 was slower as we finally caught up to everyone by the 10th hole. In the end, round was still about 4 hours even with the delay. As for the course itself, fairways were typical of late winter, but the greens were in good shape and looking forward to playing at White Oaks again.
Winter conditions but not bad overall
Holes need to be recut or moved
Greens are constant faster than practice greens
Winter time is good
Good for our team.
It was a little tough because of the wind, but I had a good time.
