course great, but grill selections questionable
For a local course, this is perfect for taking newbies learning the game. greens, fairways and tee boxes were fine. After a round I decided to stay at the clubhouse for a bite to eat. Sadly our 2 of our 4 selections were poor. Cheeseburger must have been frozen for over a year as it was tasteless. The "grilled chicken sandwich" was a poor grade chicken burger. Fries and chicken wings were fine. Won't be eating here again. But will return to play golf with my newbie friends.
Love the course but
I have played here a few times. Love the course because it is an easy walking course. The only problem is the tee direction needs to be clearly marked. Also it would be nice if the yardage was marked at each hole
Short, fun
Lots of par 3’s, some extremely short. I’m not a long hitter but I still took a driver or 3-wood out of the bag on only 3-4 holes. Well maintained. Friendly staff.
Raritan Landing
Staff extremely helpful and understanding. Course conditions were not what I expected due to it’s an executive golf course. Tee boxes fairways in nice shape. Greens were really well kept. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to perk up their iron play.
Great conditions in late August
I played last weekend at South Shore Golf Course and most of the fairways were dried out. At Raritan Landing this last Monday the conditions were lush. Tee to green were in great shape! The course was not busy today so pace of play was great. I only paid 10 dollars for the round, so the value was excellent! Both my wife and I needed some approach play practice so this course fit the bill perfectly.
I have played this course many times and the conditions have always been good to excellent.
Great course for Beginners
While there are other courses in NJ that are expensive, this course offers beginners the ability to learn on the greens and fairway without crushing the wallet.
great staff, great drinks...be warned they will not let you bring your own alochol.
