Done
Troon should be removed from managing Middlesex County golf courses immediately. They ruined Tamarack, which had to be redone, then destroyed The Meadows, and now Raritan Landing has suffered the same fate. The greens are unplayable, the tees are nothing but dirt, and the overall experience is consistently terrible.
Remove this course from GN
As long as I’m playing golf, I have never played a course that was in this shape. I can’t believe they have any ground keepers whatsoever. The course was an absolute disgrace Save your money and don’t play here. I have attached a few photos of different holes, but trust me every single hole was the same. And whoever ever wrote the reviews on their website must have been friends of the owner of this course.
Greens need major work
Been to this course many times. Never seen it this bad. They did alot of work to clean up some of the forest areas. I will give them that. But that’s about it for the positives. Tee boxes are chewed up. Greens are borderline unplayable. Maybe 2-3 holes where they were okay. Rest were REALLY bad. Can’t make putts on patchy messed up greens. Added maybe 8-10 strokes to 18 holes game due to bad unkept greens. Bunkers were also pretty bad. Wasn’t sand in them. Just hard dirt.
Terrible conditions
This course was good to practice in your irons. Recently, they've let this course go bad! They don’t tell you the front 9 is closed until after you pay. Then the back 9 is dried, tee boxes or beat up, bunkers are HARD and the ball cleaners without water. And, if you leave anything behind, you might as well forget about it because it’ll never show up again. Awful course overall.
Terrible
Greens and tee boxes were awful almost unplayable especially the greens, sad, used to enjoy this course
Disappointing Round of Golf
Poorly maintained fairways and greens. Many signs missing to indicate which hole you’re approaching. Course is obviously neglected.
Poor conditions
The course was in pretty bad shape. Greens were dying and covered in slippery goo. Pace was vey slow. But the staff were good.
Enjoy playing here
Raritan Landing is my come to course when I need to work on my irons. It has a nice layout pretty well maintained except for the greens which need some TLC.Staff is very friendly and accommodating and the value is tremendous
Always a great time
I appreciate the improvements that are being made both on and off the course and the staff are always nice.
Challenging short course
This was my first time playing Raritan Landing. It’s a nice short course and a great opportunity to work on your short game. The staff was very friendly and the price fair. We also got through 18 holes in just over three hours so pace of play was great. The tee boxes and greens need some attention though. We will be back.
Great course but extremely slow for a course that's mostly Par 3s
Love this place. I learned the game here over a decade ago. It's a course where you can sneak a quick round on the weekdays. Great practice course. Weekends are a whole different story.
Hidden GEM!
Raritan Landing is THE hidden gem of golf courses in NJ. I started playing golf since 2020 and I’ve been playing Raritan Landing since my beginnings. It’s a perfect setting for all golfers, noobs and veterans as well as casual and competitive. The staff is excellent and the course is always kept in great condition. The 18-hole, executive-style course runs nearly 3,300 yards with a Par 58. It’s extremely fun to play and it is the perfect course for me to haphazardly stumble upon. No, I’m not a local, coming from about 35 minutes away and still play weekly during the season. I get to work on my irons and putting game while also reaching for the driver on a few holes. I’m doing myself a disservice by letting the secret out. Get out there, hit some balls and see for yourself!
