Fun/easy course, bad shape
First off, the trailer/clubhouse bathrooms were horrible. Held my breath using the washroom. HORRIBLE. Second, course tee boxes are basically sand with grass sprouts. The fairways are half grass, half crabgrass tuffs or sand. Bunkers? Wet/hard playground sand. Greens? Very flat, but surprisingly good shape, provided you cleared a path through the fallen pine straw. I would recommend playing this course, however, as the layout is pretty fun with lots of risk/reward options, it’s cheap, and pretty open to play whenever with good pace.
Citrus Springs
Great Greens.Fairways need some work, tons of weeds.Sand traps poor for the most part.In conclusion, take care of fairways like you do the greens.
Not Worth the Fee...
I say not worth the fee because I got a discount from tee off that came to $27. But that was not the usual rate. It's even higher than that. So for the rate that I paid it wasn't worth the money so definitely what they're normally charging not worth the money. The only good thing I would say was that the greens were fairly good shape. But the fairways were terrible with a lot of crabgrass weeds and most all the tea boxes were terrible. Sorry to say this but that's the way it is. Definitely looks like they need to put more money into the golf course if they want to improve their business.
Bumpy
The fairways were rough and bumpy along with some of the cart paths. The greens were in pretty good shape, while the tee boxes really are in need of work. Pace of play was good and the staff friendly. A little TLC and you will have a great track.
Decent layout, fairways a bit rough, greens good
Nicely laid out course, fairways a bit rough but maybe because we haven't had much rain lately around here. Greens are in good shape and nicely challenging without being crazy hard. Very few golfers out so we were able to move quickly.
Fairways were good
Greens were good
Tee boxes need some work …
We like this course and have played many times and will continue to do so…
Excellent value for play in Citrus county
The staff was second to none with their service. The course was in very good shape for the time of year and is filling in excellent after the snow birds leaving. I will definitely be playing here again and will recommend anyone to try it for themselves.
one of the best
We drove 90 miles from Lakeland to play here. It was our 169th different course we have played in the last 6 years. This one certainly ranks in the top ten. Tony at the desk was very helpful with a time problem we had. We loved the course !If it wasn't 90 miles we would play it often!
Nice layout.
Course has a nice layout. Fairways thin in places.Greens are in decent shape
Tee boxes were terrible need a lot of work.
