better under new management
Course was a little rough last time i played here in October. But new management seems to turning things around.
Couple fairways were pretty rough, but ill let it slide since we haven't had any rain since they took over. Will try win for sure
Just 9
Use to courses in Michigan. Staff was great. Course really rough with shaggy greens.
Horrible Course- don’t waste your time !
This is the worse course I have played in the last 5 years. They should charge $20 for 18 holes, that’s how bad it is. Fairways were a mess, greens were poor. T boxes were very bad.
Significant Improvements with New Owners
The course has always been a fun layout. Now (with new ownership) improvements in the course and facilities are matching the layout. New carts, merchandise, swapping front and back nines, cleaning up the brush, opening up the course a bit have made the experience even better. Give the grass another 6 months and it will be truly a top notch executive course.
All staff were very friendly and helpful about the course changes. The greens were in very good shape. It was nice to see a course Marshall come along to see how it was going. Could have used them on the front 9 with a very slow 4-some that was not playing ready golf. With all the nice changes perhaps that emphasis on pace of play would be affective.
Little rough
Tee box’s not so good. Greens on one nine had sand on them other nine was ok. Course conditions are most likely due to lack of rain. I will play there again give it a try it’s a fun course to play
Improving
A little rain and TLC, this will be a fun little course. Perfect for those (my father in law) who can’t play 18 anymore or hit the ball very far. Am thrilled to see new ownership and obvious upgrades. Will definitely play again!
Drought
The course layout was excellent, greens were decent. but slow, could have used a rolling and mow to help. The recent drought has had a negative effect on all local courses. I can see this place being an incredible place to play once the rain returns to normal.
Was dissapointed that GHIN didnt recognize this place.
Good deal
Very friendly staff, loyal following. For the money had a great time, would go back.
Not worth it
Course was not worth the money. I wouldn’t pay more than $25 for 18 holes.
Tee boxes were dirt. A few greens were ok but for the most part, the course wasn’t in shape for golf
Not worth it.
In horrible shape. The greens are okay at best and that's it.
Average Executive
Played the back nine at Oyster Creek. Staff were very helpful and super courteous. We had the course to ourselves for all nine holes. The layout is interesting for an executive course, three par fours and six par threes. The holes are straightforward, some narrow, some over water. I liked everything about the course except the turf condition. The fairways are drought stricken and the greens were slow and bumpy.
The course is under new management so there might be hope for better conditions in the future.
We need lots of rain
Sad but true. No rain, no grass, greens were very bumby. Bunkers were not racked.. no food st the club house. Will try it again next year.
