Short, but Challenging Links Course
Do not be fooled by the short yardage of the course (less than 6,000 yards). The fairways are narrow, sand bunkers everywhere, heavy fescue, & elevated greens make it a challenging course. If you add "wind" to the equation which is inevitable at this course it plays much harder.
Lots of fun
Went w/ 3 friends, we play all over east end of LI. 1st time here, course was in great shape, very playable had lots of fun. Will play here again.
Great course
Course best played from the back tees. Very challenging and the greens very fast. Making for a great round
Vineyards
Super nice staff, truly a private course with some times for the public, great course b
great condition
Everything is good
but short par4 is too many to my opinion
You can enjoy & challenge to this course.
I want to play one more time.
Call Off the Dogs....
Everything was great. Starter couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The course was in excellent shape. Perfect weather. Then we met the rangers--3 times-- On the front 9. My guess is that since the course is semi-private, the rangers are told to keep an eye on the public to make sure they are not slowing down the membership. Despite being a foursome playing behind a threesome, we were never out of position. We never had to wait on a tee, but we never arrived at an open hole either. The group behind us was nowhere to be seen. That didn't stop the rangers, however, from approaching us 3 DIFFERENT TIMES on the front 9 to encourage us to speed up. One time he was even specific enough to tell us we were 2 1/2 minutes behind. What could have been a great day turned into one where I was grumbling about unwarranted harassment for most of my round. If I wanted to be nagged, I would have stayed home. Too bad--could have been a great day.
Short course but hard tricky greens
Short course but hard tricky greens make it challenging greens great shape but hard to read the breaks
Nice course
First time playing,so had no idea what was ahead. Lots of bunkers. If I played a second time would have a much better feel for course. Local knowledge very helpful.
The Vineyards Golf Club
We realize Golf Clubs which are private, have club rules,
but in todays' world yardage markers to center of the greens is a must.
Private Course open to Public
If you want the feel of a real private club this course is for you. The course, formerly known as "Olde Vine Golf Club" now goes by the "The Vineyards Golf Club". Fairly short course but kept in amazing condition. Not worth the $95 but definitely worth a $40 deal on golfnow. When the wind picks up, the course can be quite challenging.
NICE COURSE
THIS IS A NICE COURSE, AND IT IS CLOSE TO OTHER COURSES SO YOU CAN MAKE A DAY OF IT. THE COURSE IS WAY OVER PRICED, BUT IF YOU GET A CHEAPER GOLF NOW DEALS PRICE IT IS WORTH IT. I WOULD NEVER PAY THE $95 COURSE RATE. THE COURSE IS VERY PLAYABLE JUST STAY OUT OF THE BUNKERS. I WOULD GO BACK AGAIN.
Hidden Gem on The Nork Fork
This is a must play GC . Originally private, the newly semi private GC is extremely well maintained and provides a challenging round for any level of golfer.
Nice Links course
Staff very friendly,Course was in great shape.Well kept greens, relatively short , played from back tees.Would play again.
The Vineyards
All of us had a great experience at this course. The greens and fairways are in better condition than any other course we have played this season. Everyone at the course is pleasant, professional, and communicative. They made us feel welcome at the facility. There are great deals for membership which we will take a closer look at. Lastly, the dining was spectacular. My friends had tasty lobster rolla and I had a sirloin burger. I think the dining us run by Palmer's, which is a famous steak house in Farmingdale. Thanks to The Vineyards and Golf Now, we played a country club track in about four hours, and it cost for less than one would pay at a busy, backed up, public course. It was an hour ride for us, but it was very well worth it. Happy to share, but don't want to see the place get too busy!
Awesome course.
This is a hidden gem . Play it it's worth the money
fun links course
nice layout but if u play on a breezy day, hazards are everywhere.
Great Course
Great course, great weather, fast round. I thought I went to Heaven!
