Compared to Cherry Creeks 2 courses just down the road it was $25-30.00 more!
Found that a bit extreme for the Riverhead NY area.
Average public courses in Suffolk that I've played range between $45-55.00 weekdays. 18 holes here was $79.00
All prices included carts!
Otherwise the the courses all seem to be comparable.
course layout nice change of pace
What a great track, long hitters will think it's too short but the bunkers and challenging greens even things out. Course was in the best condition of any public course on Long Island. Clubhouse is like a private Country Club, including beautiful 19th hole view. Staff great, they even pick your clubs up as you drive in. Right next to Cherry Creek, and to me, a much more interesting course.
Pristine conditions
What a beautiful course; perfect for mid and high handicaps; if you are a long hitter, not challenging but you must keep the ball in the fairway; tee boxes fairways and greens in excellent condition; tee off at 11:10 and completed at 3:00; will certainly play again

Nice Links Layout
Nice links course where wind is a huge factor. Played early and got through 9 till the wind picked up on the back. Lots of bunkers protect the fairways and greens. Worth checking out if you like links courses.

My new favorite course on Long Island. Private course which they have opened up to Golfnow users. I would gladly come back
Conditions are great although we saw more unfixed ball marks on the greens than I would like. Greens are challenging and roll true
I really appreciate that they reinforce pace of play on this course. To me, the extra time to drive to Riverhead is a no brainer b/c I can assure myself certainty that the round will finish on time and quickly!

A must play
Course is always in meticulous condition, extremes are placed on course management and shot selection. Not extremely long but abundant bunkers loom, links layout with some water hazards and at times swirling winds brings out a true test of abilities. Will go back again and again

First time at The Vineyards
I was very impressed with the condition of the course, especially given the grueling hot weather we had gone thru prior to my playing. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in gorgeous condition, best I have played on the East End. Facilities are top shelf, staff is friendly and helpful. The course plays to a Par 70... but seems short even for that. Only one "long" par 4 over 400 yards, the last hole (do not miss that green left). And every hole seemed to be about 10 yards shorter than the distance on the card... i think they could have stretched it out a bit more. But conditioning off the charts good, greens are well protected, and u will enjoy this shot maker's track, for sure.

Very nice course
Played this course for the first time. I can't say enough about how nice this course is. Yea, it's short but the wind can be/is a factor. Greens were fast but true. We really enjoyed this course and will return. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Played for the first time. Nice short links course with tight fairways. Fast greens which were nicely protected.

Great Course
Course is short but a windy day kept it challenging. Course is in great shape and pace of play was so quick we were able to go around for another 9 (played 27 holes in 4.5 hours). Would definitely play this course again when on the east end of LI.

This course is well maintained and has challenging greens, very fast. Pace of play was great. I will play again before the end of the season!

Best kept secret
I almost hate to write this review because the best kept secret in Long Island golf is The Vineyards. The club house is beautiful, the staff from Scott our starter to the guy who cleaned our clubs, to the waitress who served us some post round beers were very friendly. I felt like a member which by the way is quite reasonable to become. I had one of my best rounds ever and I contribute it to the excellent course conditions and pace of play - 3 and a half hours. I highly recommend this club. I'll be back again.

Best Value in Riverhead
If you are looking for a nice place to play while out east this is it. Course is in great shape. It is a little short but you need to be able to hit the ball consistently to score. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful

The staff here is very attentive to all of your needs as a player. Course was in very good shape, fast greens and nice fairways. Great day with a foursome and played in just around four hours.

Great little layout
Tests your shot making skills. Tall fescue and lots of bunkers put a premium on shot placement for this short layout. Greens in great shape, and not many level lies in fairway. Overall a good experience. Just a note, don't pay any attention to the google map for the course! It is near the Cherry Links and Woods courses just off Roanoke Ave.
