One of the best public courses in the city. Really well maintained, pace of play is really not bad considering it’s public. Staff are really nice and food options are pretty solid. Two downsides: no cart girl (really not a problem) so make sure you pack enoughs beers, waters, and snacks for 18 and it’s par 67, also not really a problem. Overall great course and would recommend it for any NYC golfer.

A great course for NYC

They are doing some renovations to the course

The last few times hole 18 was turned into 17 and 18 a par 3 then a par 4 due to other hole closures.

Yesterday 18 was closed altogether

Fairways in good shape. Bald spots near car path,

Green are in very good condition but needs sweeping trees flowers and leafs divot are not repaired by players.

Pace of play have to be improve. A short course should not take more that 4 hours of playing time

Always a good time but

Douglaston is always good company and friendly staff. Fun layout and decent pace of play, but please change the pin positions! Every cup was overgrown on the edges which made the holes essentially smaller than a regulation size golf hole.
