North Wales Golf Club in Llundudno
North Wales Golf Links is a world class Seaside Links Course,
You cannot be shy of strong Coastal winds when playing a Oceon Course of this level, 5 Stars from me, every golfers dream Course
Twilight Golf
A really fun course to play. The scenery is spectacular. Extremely demanding in the wind and the rough is penal. Never lost so many balls before! The greens were in great condition. The fairways were patchy but very playable. My only grumble was the dog walkers. One dog walker picked up my ball and pocketed it; a dog had my ball in its mouth; and another dog walker sat on a bench next to the tee and was trying desperately to quieten his dogs from barking, then walked off in another direction - there was no particular reason to wander across to us with dogs off their leads. I understand that the paths lead to the beach, and I have no problem with sharing the space with others, as courses do take up a lot of land, but when you’re paying for a round, it is rather annoying to have to play with running hazards and thieves.
Great early summer evening links
6pm tee off time. Plenty of time to get round before sunset at 9.45pm. Pro shop closed however, so reliant on GPS Phone app for a few blind shots. Not overly challenging on the blind shots as the marker posts do provide good directions. Greens very true, tight fairways slightly baked, but it has been warm! Excellent layout using all of the natural links with good bunkering that isn't overdone.
Stunning views. Would play again!
Perfect greens
Tee boxes and greens where in perfect shape, especially the greens areas where spectacular. Fairways were very dry and hard.
Decent
Good links course with some great views along the coast. couple of blind tee shots. greens in great condition, as were the fairways.
On the day we played the pace of play was slow, 4 hours 40 for a two ball.
A true hidden gem
Having never played in North Wales, randomly selected this course in the app. I love links golf and this course, had look at the course on their website and was looking forward to playing some the hole due to the pictures on the course guide. Well, they don't do the course justice, lots of challenging and memorable holes. Even though I didn't play to my best I enjoyed every minute and looks forward to coming back to play again.
First time at North Wales
Liked the layout, quality of the greens and friendliness of those I met.
Played through a two ball 'new at golf' which was fantastic to see but their etiquette wasn't the best although that wasn't their fault - someone should have helped them. Looked half decent players as well.
Some fairways had many bare patches but all divots had been filled with sand which was great to see. Some tees needed some help too. Lovely views from 9 to 11 and 13 to 17.
All in all a really nice course, in decent condition and one I'd recommend.
Great day
Great course, will definitely be back to play when fully open, 3 holes closed due to weather but really enjoyed it.
Golf Away Day
Really nice course, greens and tees were excellent, fairways a bit patchy in parts. 8th hole to 15th hole were right by the coast which was stunning to play. Overall really good challenging course definitely would recommend!
Hurricane Llandudno
Wow, the most fun I’ve had on a golf course for ages, blasted by 35mph wind, but amazing views and worth it for a couple of the best par3’s ever and the stunning views. Play this course, be patient and enjoy it - from hole 6 it’s a crackerjack.
Good course.
Played it on my own and really enjoyed it. No wind at all so shot under my handixap. Will go back in October and hopefully the wind will be up
Excellent experience
First time playing this course and found the whole experience first class, the pro helped me out with some tips before setting off which were a great help.
The course was in great condition with the greens looking really well and fairways were well looked after.
I was playing behind a 2 & 3 balls and the pace of play wasn't an issue at all
