Enjoyable course
I played after a sustained period of rain and the course held up well. The greens were in very good condition. The course is a fair challenge and in the breaks in the weather provides stunning views of the Menai straights and the mountains beyond, Hilly in places but I carried and it was fine. Had a meal after in the friendly clubhouse. I’d recommend if you are in the area.
Well worth a visit - add to your shortlist
was staying in the area and came across this course, friendly pro shop and locals and the course was in great conditions, location was epic course and views of the area was awesome, course played really well relatively easy but with some challenging holes to add. most defiantly make a visit you wont be disappointed, hotel close by with rooms and balcony's on the course overlooking if required for stop over.
Beautiful course with stunning views of coast and mountains
Played 9 holes initially then went back a couple of days later to play 18. Course was in fantastic condition, though the greens were generally fast and frustratingly challenging. The course was very varied and the views as we went round were stunning. The only downside for us was the very steep slope down from 5th to 6th hole where our trolleys were threatening to run away - with or without us. We just didn't feel safe. Having said that, we'd play there again in a heartbeat.
Pleasant
Never played course before and pro was very welcoming.
Quite undulating which added to interest
Some holes would be played differently now knowing the routes to the green around dog legs.
Pleasant experience and would definitely play again
Fantastic course
Really enjoyed playing here. This course has some challenging and varied holes, with amazing views. Staff and other members welcoming and helpful. The only downside was we couldn't always find the 150 green markers.
Nice short course, tricky in places
A picturesque course with great views over Menai Straits from the high holes at the start. It is quite short with several sub-300 yard par 4’s, but plenty of challenges nonetheless. Tough rough and several blind holes add to the challenge. Well worth a visit - good pace of play, good conditions and plenty to think about. Recommended.
Easter Golf Break
Played Henllys for the first time over the Easter weekend, very nice little course, quite hilly but very interesting with great views. Staff are super friendly and the pro was so nice and welcoming. Would definitely go back!
Society groups
Played here a few times now. Every time has been great just this time. Obviously can’t help society’s playing but the pace was pretty poor at best. And also I understand maintenance work needs to be done but would have been nice knowing 3 or 4 greens out of action. Overall great course and well maintained definitely worth a visit just mind the pace
Wonderful
First time here and was very impressed. Will definitely be coming here over the summer. Views were spectacular.
Very Pleasant
Course was set up for winter greens which made it shorter and hence my "fairly easy" difficulty classification. When clear you get some lovely view across to the mainland of Great Orme and Snowdonia.
