Outstanding Value and a Fair Test
I played here on 29 June with 3 friends.
I loved playing the course that much, I came back for a round on my own on 7 July.
The course is so nice a fun a true hidden gem.
With the back drop of Gwyrch Castle and the relied fairways, you’d be almost listen to be in Austria or Germany.
Every hole is tree lined but the fairways are generous in places. But that’s not to say an errant drive won’t run up a cricket score.
Its defence is the green complexes. Each greens has its own challenge with break and some really tricky pins can be placed. Also the tidal wind is also a challenge in itself. The course is only a mile or so away from the coast, so despite it being a Parkland layout, the breeze can catch you out.
A great course to play with friends, a society or even just by yourself like I did.
The staff in the clubhouse and Pro Shop are spot on also and very welcoming.
Beautiful Course
First time we have played Abergele drove past it many times. It was a pleasure to play nice fairways, nice greens everything well sign posted. Good facilities
Excellent
Staff so friendly, good and drink great , course in fantastic condition.
AbergelebExcellent parkland course
Superb greens. Lovely mature trees. Good hole variety.
Excellent course amazing views
This is an excellent course with some truly inspiring views of Gwrych Castle. We played a thoroughly enjoyable four ball, with the 17th and 18th holes among the most challenging we have played.
After a great game we went for a coffee and a bite to eat, where we engaged in some vibrant conversation with some friendly club members in the bar.
No doubt we will be back soon!
Hols
Very good course in fact one of the best I've played I would recommend this course to anyone.
Very nice parkland course with a beautiful castle view!
This is a very nice parkland course set below a beautiful castle. The course is very flat and easy to walk. The greens were not yet perfect, but are acceptable for this time of year. The pace of play was a bit slow: 4+15 is too slow.
Easy course
Even if the staff denied us our discount and was a bit unfriendly, the course had a nice view of a castle. The course was fairly straightforward and easy to play. A little more attention to the tees would have made the experience better, but still it was enjoyable.
Great course for the weekend golfer
great layout, great condition. Really enjoyed the golf except the pace of play which was awfully slow.
Practice facilities are excellent, would definitely return
Lovely place

Abergele golf Club
Bargain golf at £20 a round on a Saturday afternoon.
Friendly staff in the Bar and Pro Shop. Members very friendly.
Played after 3pm on a Saturday. Club competition in front and society but pace of play was good for how busy the course was.
Course was in great condition - accuracy important of the tee. Greens running true. course management important - some short par 4s and nice par 3s
Would highly recommend anyone to play the course if they haven’t. Will be back soon to play again.
What an amazing course
Beautifully cared for and equally challenging it was my first experience of playing at Abergele.
The conditions were perfect and the course offers a mix of par friendly holes and forces you to think out of the box.
