About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

Nice course very challenging but overpriced
It's a nice course with great greens but since covid they have increased their greens fees to be one of the highest on Long Island for a public course. Club Corp has decided to charge over $120.00 - $125.00 for a weekend tee time..
With so many other courses on Long Island people will start to look elsewhere.. It's to bad they are greedy!

Great course but too expensive
I have played this wonderful layout many times and it continues to be one of my favorite courses on Long Island. HOWEVER, $95 for a public course is simply to much and is well above the going rates for other courses in the area. At that rate I may play it once a year but regrettably no more.

Fun Course
Fun course, second time playing. The layout is good with some challenging holes, that are well protected. Be careful if you like to grip and rip, you will find yourself in trouble. My only negative comment were the greens, there is weed growth on them, some more then others. Made the putting a little more difficult then should have been. But overall I would. Give this course a 4.5 of 5. I will be back

Nice challenge, and beautiful fairways and greens.
Course was in really good shape for this early in the season. My friends and I will definitely will be looking to play at willow creek again soon!

On Windy days this nice course is brutal !
It was a cold day and the wind made it very dificult.
On windy days we would play elsewhere.
We really like this course, very challenging.
We were just a twosome. Two men in our early 60s and they paired us with two women beginner golfers.
"OUCH" !
We had a very slow foursome ahead of us, so while it was not an enjoyable round with beginner golfers, we had no where to go if they at a good pace.

Willow Creek: Good Experience But Need to Address Issues
I play this course often and highly recommend it to all golfers. Pace is fast, course is challenging and the staff excellent. That’s the good. What Willow needs to focus on is getting the rocks out of the sand traps which can ruin clubs, fill the fairway divots which are too numerous to mention and control the goose population (legally) so goose droppings aren’t everywhere. Green fees are pricey but it’s a great course to play.

Beautiful Course
Willow is probably the most visually appealing public course on the island. It is also a tough test of most of the clubs in your bag. The only negatives are that it gets too soggy after rain, not really a walking course, and it’s too expensive during peak season. The greens are almost healed from aeration and the rest of the course is in great shape (that’s what you’re paying for!). One of my favorite courses.
