Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

Great day of golf with Excellent course conditions except for the sand....

The course is playing EXCELLENT for November golf....

But, FIX the SAND TRAPS for heaven sake!!!

There are more ROCKS in the sand TRAPS then sand !

And we are not talking small pebbles.... Rocks big enough to Ruin your $100+ sand wedge or irons .... all it takes is fresh sand or sifting out the massive rocks!

This is beyond ridiculous for a course that charges north of $70 per round.... FIX the TRAPS!

Otherwise the round becomes unplayable out of the sand and take relief before you are cursing that your new clubs got destroyed by tge laziness of the golf course Mgr and superintendent....

But, still my favorite layout and public course on long Island for the layout and amazing staff that is there on premises from check in , ranger, to the cart girl!

Late season at Willow

Very good condition, good course layout. Fair to play. Big greens, well protected, some tough Pin placements.

Course early week was a little damp in parts, shortening drive distance, which we could have used a bit more!

Back 9 got slow towards 15 thru 18.

Overall great course, 100% will travel to play again.

Always a challenge.

The course is in very good shape for this time of the year. Two issues are the bunkers that have no sand, and the amount of geese poop strewn about the course. It takes away from the beauty of the facility.

Fairways are not clean people need to do basics

Like replace your divots and it will be alot nicer

A bit disappointed

I love this course but today it seemed like no one cared. They ran out of range balls because no one collected them after the weekend. I eventually got a bucket of muddy balls. Didn’t even clean them. The greens and fairways were in great shape. The bunkers are horrible. They make the holes look so pretty but there is not sand in them. All rocks.
