Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

The course was very wet

I wish I was told cart path only. At 81 it was difficult to walk out to the fairway to hit each shot. Course was quite wet.

Great course I always love playing here play it many many times I would play more if it was a little more affordable however got a super deal on GolfNow course was in really good shape. They were working on some boxes. I’ll always forgive any work being done maintenance wise so as far as I’m concerned, the course was in great shape the greens were fast very few leaves, can’t wait to golf there again

Great day of golf with Excellent course conditions except for the sand....

The course is playing EXCELLENT for November golf....

But, FIX the SAND TRAPS for heaven sake!!!

There are more ROCKS in the sand TRAPS then sand !

And we are not talking small pebbles.... Rocks big enough to Ruin your $100+ sand wedge or irons .... all it takes is fresh sand or sifting out the massive rocks!

This is beyond ridiculous for a course that charges north of $70 per round.... FIX the TRAPS!

Otherwise the round becomes unplayable out of the sand and take relief before you are cursing that your new clubs got destroyed by tge laziness of the golf course Mgr and superintendent....

But, still my favorite layout and public course on long Island for the layout and amazing staff that is there on premises from check in , ranger, to the cart girl!
