Sweet Water Golf Course

Ah, the double edged sword. Prior to my round the other day, it had been cloudy, cool and overcast for about 10 days. Two days prior to my date of play, we had back to back rain days. The good news? The sun came out, the drowht was over, the grass was green, and the course was crowded. The pace of play sufferred a bit. This is a nine hole course where you can go out as a single/double and play 18 in under three hours if you wish. People invite you to play through. The patrons at this course have been universally friendly. The course, because of price and location, is perfect place to learn or practice your game. Sweetwater is fun. This ain't no Whistling Straights here; this by God American back country; friendly folk, nice conditions, good price and decent grounds and layout.

I have played this course a number of times. It is a nine hole layout with pretty nice distance from the Blue tees. I play alternate blue then white tees for 18 holes. On the 26th, Iplayes in 38-38 for a really nice 76. I'm 74, so with a few more four foot makes, I shoot my age. Didn't happen, but the day, the score, the two independent guys I picked up on the first tee, and the price and pace of play were just perfect. I'll hit it again next week.

I live right down the road from this course and love getting out and walking it twice a week. It's a great place to get out and practice some some shots for a quick 9. The staff is also friendly at check in.

The course was in great shape. The only complaint especially was the was signs for direction

to the next hole. We had played the wrong hole twice. The golfer behind us, we let them go ahead, We followed them

Course was in excellent shape. Ideal for walking with cart.

Straightforward holes with rough between that’s short and easier to find balls make this a good place to take newer players to hone their game.

My wife and I played for the first round of the season. Was incredible value for money, great course design to shake the rust off. Only issue was pace of play but I chalk that more up to the groups ahead of us than the course itself. Very walkable course as well

Course was not open yet but they were only charging $11 for nine holes so we thought, why not. It had been raining for the previous few days so the course was pretty wet. The layout is a little tight with some fairways infringing on adjacent ones making for an interesting day. The pro shop guy was friendly and did his best to direct us through the course, pointing out that the markers and signs were not up yet. The biggest drawback is the location of the facility. We were frequently interrupted by locals gunning their mega mufflers as they drove past and also the shooting range that was seemingly right next to us on several holes. All in all it didn’t cost us much and it may be nicer later on this season.

This course is what you might expect. A 9 hole course that you can just have fun playing. Well worth the money!!
